I loved Dr. Mills. It's a lot of work in the beginning of the semester, but it's all geared toward your final paper so that the end of the semester is easier. It makes it nice for when you're focused on everything else in other classes. I learned ALOT from Dr. mills!!! she is a very good professor. take her if you want to learn how to write well. if you're looking for an easy english class then go elsewhere. her class was easy but all of the readings made it time consuming. but it's not too bad. i've definitely had MUCH MUCH MUCH worse. : ) there are no written tests, only papers to write and a lot of them are only outlines!!!!

DO NOT TAKE DR. MILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, she is a wonderful teacher and you will learn from her. BUT, there is WAAAAAAAYYYYY TOO much work. You will work nonstop for this class. If you have a job, quit now because you will be behind in this class!!!!! If you have other classes, drop them because you will be behind in this class!!!!! I am a straight A student so I've got prioritizing and time management down but this class was hell for me. Save yourself the chaos and just take another professor. If you are an English major, you will probably love her. She really is super nice and an excellent teacher. You'll take away a lot, including wrinkles from all the stress!!!

PE classes, in my opinion, should be relatively simple. You show up, you sincerely try, you get an A. However, Professor Mills, though nice, had more points on her syllabus than any of my other classes. We had tons of quizzes (which you need your book to do), you have to keep a weekly journal, you have to create a yoga workout (that includes a paper, and this is with a group which is frustrating) and there's a final. I just think it is a little much for a one credit hour class. Most other PE classes at WKU are effort and attendance based. Take one of them. This isn't a blow off class.

I loved this class. The professor is very understanding and knows what she's talking about. This class isn't based on anything religious, it's just the yoga exercise. The textbook is required for the tests/quizzes, but they aren't difficult. You get 2 absences for the semester, but if you have any more, you can attend another extra credit yoga session to make up for it. It's an easy class, I recommend it.

Mrs. Mills is a very nice teacher. She makes the class fun and enjoyable and doesn't grade hard at all. As long as you are good at grammar and know what you are talking about when you are writing you should get an A on every paper. However, I've never had so much busy work in a class in my life. This is a general ed. class and I need to be worrying about my classes in my major. I've spent at least two hours everynight getting all of her busy work done. She expects you to read about 5 short stories for the week, but then you have to complete a quiz over them, worksheet about them, questions on each one, an essay over the chapter, and a full 3-page paper over one of the chapters all in a week's time. None of the material is hard, it just takes so much time to do-not to mention it is all repetitive. She could find out if you were reading by only one of the assignments. It's so annoying to write the same thing over and over again. But she is really nice, so if you have the time and want to put it into this class, I would definitely recommend her. If you have other classes you need to worry about, you might try someone else.

This class requires posting on the message board, because it is an online class. However, she offers as much interaction as possible for an online class. She actually reads you work to help you improve. If you even try, you cannot get anything other than an A or B. Definitely take her if given the choice.

I was told to take to Wren Mills because of how relaxed she was when it came to class and assignments and her real reason for teaching was her passion for english. Big mistake! I took this class ONLINE thinking it would be fairly easy...this class took up atleast 4-6 hours a week to complete most of the assigments. Each week you were given a quiz, which was hard and didn't have enought time to complete. You also had several discussion board entries that requires at time paragraph minium. The reading assigment were mostly boring but a few were interesting or at least they seemed to be after eading 20 of them. The tests were hard to study for with no guide and some of the questions had to do with minimal parts of the story. Overall I would not recommend thsi class to be taken ONLINE unl;ess you devote all you attention and time to the work. Wren Mills is overall a great lady in person so I would recommend taking her in class if possible. This course is just time consuming ONLINE.

Mrs.Mills is a really nice and understanding teacher. You only have 4 papers. We didnt have any quizzes or tests or a final. You do have to read a little bit but there's not really much that we did. I took the night class, and it wasnt that bad b/c we never once even stayed for the 3 hrs. There were many times that we stayed like for 30 min. Its an easy class, just participate in class and you'll do fine.

Great teacher! Very helpful with all of the papers. The grade is mostly based on blackboard discussions, and six papers. If you pace yourself, things work out great! She is a very good, fair grader. She's also pretty young, so she is very understanding.

Mrs. Mills is a great teacher. Her class is really nice to take because she only requires students to come to class for the first five weeks of the semester. The rest of the time you get to work on your own. This class requires you to write a lot of papers, but she will meet with you during her office hours to help you with any problems. This is a great class and Mrs. Mills is an extremely nice teacher. I would recommend this class to everyone.

This class was a blast!! This teacher was trying something different during the semester I was taking her, therefore, we attended class for the first 5 weeks or so and then made comments on blackboard regarding readings from our books. You are required to do a moderate level of reading for the class, and you are required to do at least 7 papers, including a research paper. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, but they are in the forms of papers so be quick on getting those done and turned in. She also curved the grades on our research papers. She is a very friendly and considerate teacher, and I would definitely recommend her. I have to say that I learned quite a bit from her class!

Mills is an excellent teacher! She is entertaining as well as informative. I often did not realize how much work I was doing for her class because of the frequent "no class days". Lots of writing but please take my advice: GO TO THE CONFERENCES! Yeah, thats the difference between an A and B. No tests....DO YOUR JOURNALS.....if a certain percentage doesn't, then you have a final - No fun! SIGN UP FOR HER SOON! She is awesome!

Wren is an amazing teacher, there really aren't tests, just a journal you have to write about the short stories you read avery couple of days... she gives a few notes about the types of writing. You do have to do one paper about the major or subject matter you are interested in, but it is not hard and she helps you out on it alot. We often had days where we weren't required to come, but if we did, we got extra credit. Most of us in there were athletes so she is really understanding about missing classes and works hard to make it easy enough that you dont do poorly, but gives you enough to learn something worthwhile.

Mrs. Mills is one of my favorite teachers at WKU. She's pretty young and is actually taking classes now, so she remembers what it's like to be a student. She helps you with any faults you have as a writer and gives you plenty of help, but you have to ask her for it. The only reason anyone would fail is if they don't come to class. She doesn't just make you read passages for the heck of it, she really applies the stories to your life. And that makes her a great teacher.

Mrs. Mills is a great teacher. My class was let out early at least once a week. You do have to do a lot of reading and writing, but you don't have tests unless she realizes you aren''t reading the essays in the book and then she lets you use your book. She is a really good teacher and I highly recommend taking her.

This class is very easy if you attend class on a regular basis, pay attention and do your assigments. She is a great teacher, and pretty laid back, since she is still somewhat of a student herself. I learned a lot and got a lot out of the class, but never once felt stressed or pressured. THERE IS NO FINAL!!! Only writing papers, and a group presentation near the end of the semester.

Mrs. Mills is an absolutely wonderful teacher. You learn so much from her, and it's not hard if you just do your work. She gives you plenty of chances to bring your grade up if you need it. She's very laid back and a very smart woman. I loved the conversations we had in class. I recommend her to anyone she is GREAT!
PS You're supposed to get two textbooks, but all you really need is the Short Takes one.

I absolutely loved this class. I have always heard how hard English 300 is for students and was worried going into the course. Mrs. Mills is a very laid back teacher with a wonderful approach to teaching. There are no tests, only essays. Four, including one major one, must be turned in during the semester. You get to choose which three subjects (out of six) you have an interest in writing about. Class consists of talking about the subjects and really does not seem like class at all. I would recommend this course with Mrs. Mills to anyone considering taking it with her.

She is an excellent, open-minded teacher. I advice others to take her because she is a person who would take the time to read your work out of interest, instead of just grading it. She is an out-going teacher who is a lenient grader. She's willing to always help her students accomplish her class. Extra credit is available. NO TESTS!!
