We had to write 11 papers in this class but the first 5 do not count unless they help you. This is a lot of papers but it does help you to improve on the next paper. He is a really nice old man and hes actually very funny. I would reccommend him for an English teacher and I hate English!

This teacher assigns readings and then on the next class period he give you a quiz over the stories/poetry/drama and he wants to know details about the stories/poems/etc. His exams consist of writing essays about the stories you have been quizzed over. In the back of the book is a lot of info to help answer his exam questions. Great guy.

if your taking this professor be prepared to read all the time and know every detail about the reading. he wants you to look at the same things but if you like me there's no way i can remember someone's middle name when i have to turn in a 6 page paper the same day. its a very hard class, i would only take it if your really smart and want to be challenged.

if you choose to read any evaulation read this one. i may not be the best student but i'm average. i would spend a few hours the night before this class and study poems, stories, whatever it was we were going to be quized on. i think i passed one quiz. he gives a quiz everyday over the reading. you have to read a lot. it's a very difficult course and i dont reccommend him unless you are an excellent reader and can pick out small details that normal people couldn't find. he is very smart and nice but the way he does class almost makes it impossible to get an A.

You have a quiz everyday over everything that you have read from the class before. It's alot of reading and once you miss one you get behind and it's hard to catch up. The quiz is mostly detailed things that you're expected to notice. You have to know and understand literature very well. He try's to teach but he go's about it the wrong way.

This is a very difficult course, be ready to read a lot, and to write well or you might lose points. There is a quiz everyday-- but I learned SOOOOO much, and he is a very nice man, although he might appear little mean the first week or so.

This is not an easy class, but you will learn a lot. Hellstrom is a very intelligent professor and he really knows what he is talking about. This class requires a lot of reading adn there is a quiz everyday, but still I highly recommend this class.
