This was the firs time that Tracey had taught 101. She gives many notes (I had the class as a bi-term). The final is not mandatory unless you have a grade less than a B or you missed one test. I don't believe the final is cumulative but not completely sure of that. Attendance is not mandatory but if you miss class you miss a LOT of material for the following test. The class is not hard, just a lot of material to cover in an 8 week period.

Mrs. Chenoweth is a great teacher. Take her I promise you'll love her and most importantly, how she teaches. Exams are easy, quizzes are easy. She's a high school teacher also so she teaches at a high school level, as far as the speed of her class. She's a good one!

She does a really good job of explaining everything. If you don't really get chemistry but have to take this class, I recomend her. You don't have to buy the book, just have access to one for the quiz she gives from the book and the examples she suggest. There is extra credit for every test and she encourages you to ask questions if you don't understand.

Mrs. Chenoweth is a really fun teacher. She teaches high school too, so she actually makes the class fun. Although there is a huge overkill of notes that you take, it really isn't that bad of a class. So if you do have to take this class take her, and as long as you show up for class to take notes, then you should be fine.

She's a high school teacher at Warren East and her class is taught much like a high school class. If you dont like to memorize things, pick another professor. She has you memorize a lot of the periodic table stuff and the polyatomic ions.
However, she gives good notes, is very helpful and has a good relationship with the students.
Overall: Unless you know of a professor that you specifically like better, this is a good one to take.

Mrs. Chenoweth is a WONDERFUL teacher! She offers extra credit and will work with you as needed. She is also a high school teacher so she is easy to understand and explains things well. I would HIGHLY recommend taking her for this class. Oh yeah, you don't have to have your book except for one assignment, but you can do that assignment with someone else and use their book!

Mrs. Chenoweth is also a high school teacher, so most of her classes will be in the late afternoon or evening. I found her class to be most enjoyable, but also very challenging. She expects your very best and will help you any way she can. If you go to class, take good notes, and study hard this will be a rewarding course for you!
