He is the man. He is crazy and funny. Makes the class interesting. He misses class a lot because of bad weather. He is really helpful when you need extensions for papers. Best professor ever.

My main complaint about this instructor is that he is unorganized and for an online student I never knew when the next assignment would be put up. He cover himself by back dating however there was an entire week I had no assignment because he forgot to put it up on the website. Then he gives you time to do it however you are still playing catch up in the end. He needs to become a lot more organized and treat the online class as if he were in a class room.

Tellio (as he calls himself) is really cool. He does give candy, but let's cut to the chase. He is really laid back, and often does not fully explain what he expects. When he does explain what he wants in his papers, he does it one class at a time. We are currently doing an explication, and he wants us to talk about the Rhythm of the poem we choose, but he just went over it the other day, and the assignment has been assigned over a couple of weeks. Tone, Voice, etc. will be gone over in separate lecture type classes. You can take notes, but the books he assigns (which you have to get) are not overkill in reading, and have everything you need right in there. He cancels class often because he live way out in the boondocks (like an hour away) and his driveway is a mile long gravel road that gets flooded OFTEN. He can't get out of his driveway, and therefore has to cancel class. He works with you more than any other teacher I've ever had in regards to communication outside of class. Skype, Chat, E-mail, Cell phone, you name it, I bet he does it. Great guy.

Mr. Elliott is a very caring teacher. He made English 300 fun our class just had class discussions and read the New York Times every once in a while. The syllabus is intimidating at first but we never followed it. Class attendance is not required he allows you to turn in your work late, he doesn't require you to buy anything from the class and we also learned a lot about current events along with new technology going on. Overall this was the best English class ever!

Mr. Elliot is the man! He is the most amazing teacher Ive had so far. He is always willing to help you express your ideas, and unlike many other Eng teachers, he lets you write about how YOU feel, even if he may not agree with you. He cancels class constantly.. if its a cold snowy day, or if its a Friday. He gives lots of personal stories, but other than that he is a great teacher! For an easy A take him, you wont regret it!!

Great guy. Willing to work with you as much as you want to work. He does grade somewhat hard but you can revise it as many times as you want. Really no reason not to get an A. The only knock on him is he's a liberal....which you may like or may not.

He taught from a different perspective that I hadn't learned before. He teaches a different way to write the papers and learning to change my ways in one semester was really difficult. He was very leanient(sp) on due dates. And you really didn't have to go to class but you get points for attendance. It's alot of points. The final wasn't hard...all we had to do was write a paper reflecting on all the papers we had to write throughout the year and a reflection on the class.

I love MR. Elliot...he's a really cool teacher who focuses on learning..in a "real life" manner...yes there are test...but for the most part..its only because the campus requires him to do it!! Overall I learned alot about life...

Elliott reminds me of my Junior english teacher from high school so much. He tells a lot of stories of him and his brother when he was a kid and the stories are funny. He is very easy going and very helpful. There is a lot of reading involved, but if you don't get a chance to read the assign readings, don't worry he goes over them in class. You do have to write too. But the writing won't kill you, just give you a minor headache. Elliott is overall a great teacher, funny, and very nice. Everyone should take him for this class and any class he teaches for that matter

Elliott is the best English teacher ever! He works well with you. If you have an excuse to miss class, he will be very helpful to fill you in on what you missed. He is not strict, if you miss a deadline, and you are a good student who always comes to class, he will make exceptions and extend your due date! You get to revise your papers and turn them in as many times as you want until you get a satisfactory grade! He is awesome. I suggest him to all students.

Mr. Elliott is great! He is a super nice guy and makes class bearable. You have to do 3 papers for the semester and other than that you just have to read stories/poems that he assigns and then you talk about them in class. The workload is not very much and he corrects your papers and lets you rewrite them for a better grade. He is a funny guy and I enjoyed having him in class.

Elliot is freaking awesome. Super nice guy and a darn good teacher. His classes are fun and well worth the walk up the hill to make every few days. The guy likes "The Big Lebowski"...thats fricking awesome. GREAT class

I had Mr. Elliott for both English 100 and English 200. He is very understandable and makes the class interesting, he doesn't give an enormous amount of work. He is willing to help you in any way he can.

Mr. Elliott is one of the best teacher that I have had here at this college. He is more than understanding. He is very helpful, and you can talk to him about any of the problems that you have. If you don't like your grade, you can revise your work for a better grade. He just works with you and is the best that you can get in my opion. I would really advise anyone to take him. You right several papers but nothing overwhelming. Your final is your exit portfolio that you turn in.

Mr. E is an amazing teacher! You have to write alot in English 100 and he gives you more than enough time to get in your papers. And, if you aren't satisfied with the grade he gives you, you can work on it and turn it in as many times until you get the grade you want. He is such a caring person as well and he understands you have other classes! He is really cool and always has a story to tell. He really gets you into writing! I enjoyed his class so much, I'm taking him again for English 200. So for sure, take Mr. E!

This is a great teacher for anyone who is looking to bring up there gpa. He is a great guy and i would suggest taking Mr. Elliott If you want to learn eng. Great guy, very easy class

Mr. Elliott is really nice and intelligent. He gets you to think and view things in a different light. I enjoyed his class, although there is some effort required, overall it is fairly easy and you get to watch movies sometimes. He assigns a fair amount of reading, but you can get by without doing it b/c he usually goes over it in class. I give props to Mr. E for making life easier. TAKE HIM FOR SURE!

Mr. Elliott is by far the nicest professor at Western. He is very passionate about English and makes the class fun. If you do the assignments and go to class you are pretty much guaranteed an A. He is great!

Mr. Elliot is a great teacher who doesn't believe in tests. He knows literature and can teach it very effectively. The papers that are required are outlined to exactly what he wants. I highly recommend taking him for any courses!!
