He is a really good professor who knows a lot about the subject. Gives good real world examples that keep notes from being too boring. You will have to study and read the book to be prepared for the exams. I enjoyed the class a lot.

I recommend taking your laptop to class for note taking purposes. The first few chapters are the hardest, but after that it's all pretty easy. He's very smart and funny, so the class is actually almost enjoyable. His exam questions come straight from his powerpoints (which he doesn't post on blackboard), so make sure you take the notes! Also, he gives 3 essays per exam. These will always come from class discussions or from readings he assigns before class. Great guy who I highly recommend.

This class is not terrible, just really boring. He let us out pretty early most nights, he never kept us until 8:15?? We usually got out closer to 7:00. He says that he will bump up your grade if you're close and you had perfect attendance, but he didn't for some of us so be aware of that. Boring class with a lot of stuff I didn't really care to learn about, so it might be more interesting to someone who likes that kind of thing. The thing I disliked the most about the class were his confusing multiple choice questions. He doesn't make it easy at all. Even if you studied the information a lot of the time you still couldn't get the answers right unless you knew it through and through, so reading the text might be a good idea, although his notes alone are sufficient to make a good grade if you pay attention enough in class to know what he's talking about. There were three tests during the class, and a few pop quizzes so you don't want to miss those. I would suggest taking Sullivan if you can because I've heard he's easier.

This class is somewhat boring at times, but the material is very interesting. He is a good teacher, and he makes sure that you have an understanding of what is on the test. You have to take a lot of notes, but you need them to study for the tests. I would say that this is a fairly easy class.

Professor Laufenberg only teaches two sections of MGT 300. The classes are both night classes and not too hard. Go every week! It's usually only 1 1/2 to 2 hours a week. We had three tests including the final with the same format. 25 or so multiple choice questions and then some essay questions making you explain some of the things we went over in class. There are 5 quizzes that can come at any time but if you read the chapters you'll be fine. Also be sure to read the additional reading he puts on blackboard. There are 4 discussion board assignments that are incredibly easy. I've seen people put terrible answers (e.g. "well, in some ways it's kinda ethical and in some ways it's not") and still get credit. Sit in the front because he can sometimes be boring and this will keep you from going to sleep!

This Course isnt bad, a little bit on the boring side. Mr. Laufenberg doesnt make it anymore exciting either. He's very unorganized and jumpy when it comes to lectures. He'll jump from one topic to another and then back to a topic he's already covered, very confusing at times, and he isnt the best person at giving examples on how a law is used. (I think he's too smart for teaching this basic class, actually). He's really nice if you show an effort, and will work with your grade if you try and show up every day.
There are a total of 2 test, each having 35 multiple choice questions, and then 3 essays. The multiple choice, obviously make you think. Some of the essay's will be easier than others, depending on your attendence, if you read the chapters, etc. But some essay's he gave us were off the wall, and got people wondering where the hell he pulled this crap from. Then, of course, a final. Which is the same layout as the 2 test.
There are about 3 quizzes. He gives them at the end of his lectures. And for the most part they're over the material just covered that day, and maybe one or two questions from previous lectures. Their pretty easy, so dont miss out of getting these points.
He gives 4 Discussion Board Assignments, which the students have to go through blackboard and answer questions given by Mr. Laufenberg about an article. Then the students are also asked to comment on other students responses. These are also easy points, dont miss it.
Attendence isnt mandatory in this class, but he does take role. It helps to be there, esp. since he doesnt give warning when his quizzes are. It also helps to be there since the book sometimes get confusing, and Mr. L sometimes gives the material in a way, anyone can understand it, after you sift out the junk he also throws out.

This class is not supposed to be a breeze. There is a lot of material covered. I had this as a night class and we were out early every week. He goes fast and you have to keep up! His test are straight-forward. There are also 4 quizzes and he drops one(the quizzes are at the end of the class so don't leave at break and they are over what you just talked about so they aren't difficult). Read the chapters and study your notes and you will be fine. Attendance will help you if you are borderline....it's only 1.5 hours a week!

Mr. Laufenberg is a pretty nice guy. There are 3 tests in this class, including the final. There are also 4 quizzes, in which he drops the lowest score. I thought the quizzes and the tests were rather easy if you study. Study the notes first and foremost, and cross reference it with the book. The multiple choice are kind of tricky, but if you read the chapters and know your notes you can figure it out. The essays are about a page in length, and also not bad if you know your notes.

Decent teacher. Boring class. Tests are moderatly hard. You can rack up a bunch of easy points with quizzes and other assignments. If you have to take this class then you shouldn't have much of a problem with him.

Laufenburg wasn't a difficult teacher, but the material he taught was. His classes most often got out early. Unfortunately his lectures aren't as structured as they could be. Read the text before class and the lecture will be a lot easier to understand and follow. Make sure that you note all the the examples that he cites in class because that is usually where his exam questions come from. His exams consist of 30 multiple choice questions and 3 essays. The multiple choice questions are most often harder than the essay questions.

This is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I wish he taught more than just this class. His test are mostly multiple choice with 3 essays. I really enjoyed his teaching techniques.
