Dr. Taylor is a good teacher. This was an online course, so naturally, it was at an easy pace. The final is a project of your choice, a powerpoint presentation. The tests usually allow several attempts, so as long as you study, you should be okay. I would recommend this class, and Dr. Taylor, it was fun!

This class was a winter term online class. It was wonderful. I highly recommend this class. It was a lot of reading in only 3 weeks, but it was over with quickly. Not much pain involved at all. He gives you time to get things done. He also gives you three tries at the tests. There is also one project to do that is a power point. He lets you know what you can do the project on. This class fulfills a gen-ed requirement for science.

I took this class during Winter Term (January 2006) and it was a piece of cake. There were about six easy assignments that had to be completed from various web sources and by using the book. Two of those assignments were also two page papers about why you were taking the course and what your final project was going to be so it wasn't very difficult to get all of those points.
The class had three tests worth about one hundred points each and they were open book. Most of the test questions were common sense and weren't tricky at all. There was also no excuse not to get all of the points on these exams since you could take them multiple times and if you missed some the first time you could click on the Blackboard site to see what questions you missed and then when you took the exam again it had the SAME questions. Therefore, VERY easy to get test points.
The only major assignment for the class is a final project where you describe a local environmental problem in your hometown area. This project has to be a PowerPoint presentation unless you want to do a DVD or video project and it is worth 30% of your grade. All you have to do, though, is some brief research on the topic, arrange a coherent presentation, get lots of nice pictures off of the web, and make sure to cite your information and you should get all of the points.
Dr. Taylor was also very helpful and got back to me quickly via e-mail in case I had any questions. I'd definitely recommend this class to anyone taking General Ed or taking this course during Winter Term next year. A+ all the way.

Dr Taylor rocks. If you don't like science take this course. He is very laid back and understanding about any problemms you may encounter. Take him, you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Taylor is truly the best teacher I have had. He's very knowledgable and makes his classes a lot of fun. He's more interested in you getting something out of his class than having you memorize a lot of facts. I would highly recommend his class to anyone looking for a fun gen ed course.

Talk about a great class. Mr. T is the man. He is an enviromentalist but reminds you more of your favorite uncle than a teacher. His class was so fun, he gives you hand outs for notes and gives you extra credit if you want it. No finals and you actually learn alot. You basically tell him what you want to learn. His motto is "its your class". Seriously if you need a good course or a gen ed requirement, take this class you will do good.
