ninety percent of the classroom was inappropiate to the subject. Profanity was the rule and not the excepton.

very arrogant and critical but offered little or no help to correct mistakes or instruct.

very disappointed that western offers the course with such an instructor. surely others have said the same.

Mr Thompson is a great teacher. He takes the time to go over papers, and gives you many chances to revise. He is very funny and likes to cut up. He is not strict when it comes to due dates except for on the big papers. He does not like cell phone use and deducts points from your FINAL GRADE unless you let him know you are expecting a call. He always is willing to help! And the bonus is that he is very handsome and very, very intelligent!

Well, Mr,Thompson requires you to write four 1000 word essays and he is a tough critic! I wish that he would have spent more time helping us in class with our drafts instead of going over things that didnt help us learn.There is no comprensive final, just an in class diagnostic essay. I really thought that at times he could be very arrogant, but i guess he was ok.

Professor Thompson is probably the worst English teacher I have ever had. He is tall and goofy looking, and he tries to make jokes that aren't funny. The essays he assigns are moderately difficult to write, not to mention he is a pretty strict grader. Unless you are the next Hemmingway, prepare to hate this class!
