He is awesome. Learning made easy.

I believe this is a difficult course, but Callahan is a very wonderful professor. He teaches very well and is very fair on grading the test. Overall i would say if you have to take ACCT 200 this is the best and only professor you should take.

Accounting is a hard subject, this is my second time taking the class.I think Mr.C is awesome not only does he make the material easy he makes you understand it too.I strongly strongly recommend him,He is a great professor and cares about his students.You will not go wrong taking him

This class isn't as bad as most people say it is. Prof. Callahan makes the information as clear as it can be presented, and even post overviews of all the notes on blackboard in case you wasn't there for a day, or if you need just a little extra help understanding the material. He also does in-class examples of all the information, and he posts that on blackboard as well. The homework is somewhat mandatory. There is over 80 problems assigned for the entire class but he only counts the first 35 points toward your grade. Attendance is not mandatory but I highly suggest you go everyday you possibly can! If you miss out on one day, it's somewhat hard to catch up, and the more days you are there the more bonus points he will add to your final grade, up to 5 bonus points. The book is not mandatory, I did it without opening the book, but the access code to do the homework online comes with it so you have to buy it.

Accounting is a HARD subject don't get me wrong, but if you keep up with the notes in the class, come everyday to class, do the homework assigned and pay attention, you will have no problem getting an A.

I thought the class was super easy, but it is my major. Show up to class and understand pretty simple material and the tests aren't bad. Every test and quiz has 10% of a curve. Homework online can give you a bunch of extra credit. Not a tough class.

I learned a lot in the course. There are no midterm exams. Each chapter is covered independently. Most will have a chapter quiz at the end. These quizzes are pretty easy if you do the chapter homework. Each quiz is worth 40 points, but there are a possible 44 points. There is a corporate tax return and a couple of research assignments. There is also an optional partnership return for extra credit. The final is completely cumulative, but he gave us a pretty good study guide and you have your quizzes to review. Overall, it's not bad. And he's very personable and willing to help students.

I don't know what class all the other students were taking who gave him all the smileys? but I believed them and took the course and did terrible. I admit I am not a good math student but it wasn't the math problems that gave me problems it was everything else. I missed a few classes and never seemed to be able to catch up. He moved really fast and if you missed one section you were behind the rest of the semester. He may be a nice person but his teaching style is off. He gives alot of quizzes and test and the homework online is slightly ridiculous. If you like accounting maybe you will do better than I did but for anyone else I would try someone else.

I just finished taking his class and if you do not go to class or even if you are sick you are absolutely screwed in his class. It is almost like he is over qualified to teach because i honestly had no clue what was going on and i went to class. Now i am stuck taking his class again because he is the only teacher open

Dr. Callahan is awesome. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, does a great job explaining the material, and answers all questions without making you feel dumb. He provides extra credit on every quiz and test, and you get extra credit if you do all the homework and have good attendance. You have to put in some work in this class but it isn't too difficult. I definitely recommend this class!

He is an awesome teacher. He gives a ton of extra credit which makes it impossible to fail. You have to a lot of homework problems and he gives 3 exams and 5 quizes all of them are multiple choice. He is a really nice guy and a good teacher take him

Do the online homework and take notes and you will easily get an A

If you go, take notes and pay attention its a breeze.

This is a great class! Sometimes it is boring, but he explains everything very well. He is always willing to help if you need assistance! If you attend class and listen you will do very well in this class.

I cannot believe people have anything negative to say about Professor Callahan! He was great! The only reason why some people failed and didn't think he could teach was because they didn't come to class. I suck at math and I came to class everyday and got an A in the class. If you don't get something, he doesn't mind going back and explaining it again. He's super nice and patient. I loved his class and would recommend him to anyone!

He is a retired CPA from a local firm and this was his first year teaching. He knows what he is doing he just has no clue on how to teach it. There are not really any notes to take. He posts slides (notes) for each chapter and the answers to the homework after you turn it in so you can see the right answers.

He takes up the homework out of the book, you have a few quizes that he will tell you about. The test are not like the homework. Some are MC and some are problem solving. He doesn't give you back quizes so you can see how you did.

I would take anyone else if possible. He doesn't seem to get the hint that not all of his students understand the material. I have had to teach myself most of the chapters. I have never had such a hard tim in a college class.

he is the worst professor i have ever had!!! he can not teach!!! our whole class failed!
