At first, I thought "hey this guy is from Bangladesh! Cool, he must be so humble and nice!" WRONG!! He is probably the worst teacher I have ever had in my three years in college. He doesn't supply notes so you have to listen to him and write what you can from his long and boring lectures that you can't understand from his accent. He calls people out who are talking but they are whispering about the notes, he gets mad every class period because someone is on their phone. Once he took a guys phone. He even threatened to drop people from the class because of petty things. I didn't like him personally, he is not interesting, nether less he knows his stuff but he's not cut out to teach it if he can't involve his students or handle situations with them properly, taking phones and yelling at students is something you do in high school. He could even make some power points of notes that would give people something to do in class but there is nothing to do but to decipher what he is talking about. Be prepared to study all of the material on your own and through the easy labs you have to do every week. Do not take this teacher if you are just trying to get rid of a gen. ed. requirement.

Dr. Mahmood is a good professor. At first, his accent is hard to understand, but you soon get used to it. Sometimes he got upset when we felt we should have known something and we didn't, but oh well. I enjoyed his class. Just do the labs and take notes and you'll be fine.

Mahmood is a good teacher! Just go to class and write down everything that he puts on the board, because it will be on the test. He only gives two tests, the mid-term and the final, which are just like his study guides.

Professor Mahmood is a great teacher, he explains what needs to be known for the class and his tests are all multiple choice. If you do not understand something he is more than willing to help you understand. He doesn't try to cram a whole lot of information into a short period of time. As long as you study your notes from class you will do fine on the test. He also gives study guides for his tests.

This class was bullshit. All we talked about was soil water and evapotranspiration. Nobody gives a sh)* about that stuff, who the f*^& cares.Anyways you have 2 exams including the final, he gives you a sheet filled up front and back with sh)& to study. Then you study it and you dont know what the hell it is. THe test had nothign to do with the notes. I learned nothing, except to sit by somebody smart.

Dr. Mahmood goes by the book. If you follow along with the book and take notes in class you'll be good to go. The labs are confusing at first but they help. His tests are not hard as long as you follow his lecture notes.

At first he might be hard to understand, but you catch on to the accent quickly. The class itself is easy and all the tests are easy if you pay attention and look at the book every now and then, but the labs can be quite tricky. Be prepared to spend some time on the labs.

Mahmood is very boring to listen to during class and often expects you to know the answers to questions on topics you haven't discussed yet. The labs are done on your own time and you can retake the quiz up to 3 times to get the best grade possible. The class isn't very hard, just difficult to stay awake during

This class is really easy. Sometimes it is hard to understand Mr. Mahmood, not because his English is poor; it just can take him a while to get a point across. Mr. Mahmood is a really nice guy, though. He gives extra help on his classes and labs if needed. Also, his first test is pretty easy. The second one is a lot tougher, especially because most people expect to be like the first one. Then there's the final which is not cumulative and it's somewhere between the other two tests. If you're taking this to fufill a Category D requirement, take Mahmood.

I didn't like this class. Mahmood was extremely hard to understand. He pretty much told the whole class that we were stupid and that we had to be spoon fed. He expected us to be meteorologists when we walked in the first day. The only pro to this class is that you can do the lab any time you want and it only takes around 40 minutes and that's why I signed up. His tests are multiple choice, I mean "guess," but they aren't easy. Have fun if you sign up.

Dr. Mahmood is hard to understand and does not speak English in an easy listening manner. He does pass around an attendance sheet to sign every class period, but most students skip his class a lot because it is so boring.
There are only three tests the whole semester, but I needed my book to study because I didn't learn much of anything from his lectures. The labs also count for 25% of your grade.
If you learn anything from this class, you do it on your own.

this class wasn't what i expected it to be! the topics discussed are mainly soil moisture content and evapotranspiration as well as different heat flux's. the group project which includes a 15 min presentation consists of an analysis of SM and ET data. The class was overall easy just took some thinking and u must understand the basics of each equation studied.

You must attend class, and pay attention. Use your descression on buying a book. I didnt use it much and probably could have got away from not using it. Three test not really a final. There are many group assignments. AQlso many people say take Geog 300 first, however I didnt and made it. Use ur own judgement on that.

This class requires a lot of thinking. I recommend Geog 300 before taking this class. It reguires group assignments, and projects. Take notes and ask questions. No questions are stupid ask them no matter what. Class size is approx 20. Mahmood is a good teacher but pay attention.

Overall, an easy class, if you're interested in this sort of thing. His test questions are sometimes difficult to understand due to his mild restrictions in understanding the english language in written form. The lab is harder than the class, as it is on the computer and the questions are sometimes tricky, but at least you can go whenever you want to.

mahmood is a bangaleshi and i found him very hard to understand. He says basically around 20 times per class period. The book is very hard to read and his classes make no sense as his english is poor. This teacher is the worst i have ever had and it took a lot of studying on my own to do well. do not take this guy.
