This was the worst class I have ever taken. He is an inconsiderate man. He will emabarrass you in the middle of class. Our class was "retarted beginners". He made fun of Americans as well as people who answered questions wrong in class. He has a very crude sense of humor. He uses old and I mean OLD VHS tapes to try to teach you. Mind you they are all in Spanish. He speaks mostly Spanish. When he does speak English you cannot understand him.. Oh and by the way ask him what is in his cup.. he came to our class drunk one day. He uses obscene language all the time. His tests are very hard and are designed to make you fail.. You have a quiz every Friday.. but they are more like tests... He looks for every way he can to make you fail his class. If at all possible DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! Before taking his class I wanted to major in Spanish along with Photography.. NOT ANY MORE!!! I hated Spanish when I left his class. RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLASS and FAR FAR AWAY FROM FAC FLOOR 2.

I've never had a teacher in my life that I couldn't learn from, until this guy. You can hardly even understand what he says, and when you do, it doesn't make much sense. His class seems easy, until you have a test or quiz. Things he says you don't have to study for end up being on the tests. His class is extremely difficult for a beginning Spanish class, and I would not recommend this man to anyone... Sorry Raul.

You better not be "retarded beginners" as this non-English-speaking ass clown refers to our class. Stay far, far away I admonish you. There is a test every single week, that mostly contain questions that make no sense. Take anyone else, Obeso is the teacher you want.

I agree with everything every one else has said about this man except for saying his a demon, that might be taking it a little far. He doesnt speak english, you cant understand him, and his test are confusing. He's rude to everyone in class. Plain and simple I withdrew while I had the chance

This dude is ridiculous. Stay teh hell away. Spawn of sata/bealzebub/mephostopholes are all terms/phrases that come to mind when I think of this man. Even if you're fluent, he'll screw you up with his mumbling, drunken ramblings (ask him waht's in his cup one day..), and inability to humanly communicate with students. STAY AWAY. :(

Don't take the demon if you value your soul. I agree with everything said about him. But there is something more sinister about the guy. I have decided not to get any revenge on him because I know he will soon be burning in hell. He os a rude tyrant who wil make you hate the day you ever chose WKU. He hates Americans and he shows it. he can't speak a lick of English. But is that Spanish he's speaking or demonese. I once wanted to learn Spanish, now all I want is to join the USAF and bomb Spain, his native land. The fact that he is not in prison, shows how pitiful our legal system has become. If you value, your happiness, mental health, or soul --or if you have any kind of heart disease that could be aggravated-- do not take Padilla. I actually recommend avoiding FAC, floor 2 --his hideout.

Let me add to the chorus of boos. If you need this guy to graduate, don't graduate. The risk to your mental health isn't worth it. He is a tyrant. He can't speak English. The Fidel Castro of WKU.

I went into this class knowing very little. He is the worse teacher I have ever had at wku. I had such a low F before the end of the semester that i just quit going. He doesn't speak english hardly. Teaches the class like it's professional spanish. Dont take: tests are killer, he's a jerk, he doesn't care about the student. Get him out of WKU...

This class was a gen. ed. I practically had to teach myself. Mr. Padilla did not care about the students. He did not try to help. He also used bad language. We had a test practically every day or every other. And definately, there was a test every Friday.

I have never in my life have ever experienced a professor who was so unwilling to help you in anyway shape or form. I am the one who makes "A"'s and "B"'s and I haven't learned one thing from this class except to pass on to you not to take this course. This man is satan himself. Hard heart, coldness, and laughs at you and embarrasses you in front of the class with no regard to your feelings involved. Please, Please do not take this professor if you plan on graduating.

Mr. Padilla should be sentanced to Hell. For me never taking Spanish and being in his introductory class was like stepping into Mexico without a guide. On several occasions he called me a "stupid woman" and laughed in my face for answering a questioln wrong. Several times, I left the class crying. I beg of you, do not take this teacher.

Raul Padillo is an embarrasment not only to himself, but also to WKU. His ridiculous arrogance and broken English mixed together make him one of the most repugnant people alive. I would suggest not taking this class and reporting why to the administration. Power lies in numbers and so if you read this, voice your concern to the administartation with the hope that cumulative complaints could rid the school of the scum he represents.

I needed a foreign language credit to graduate college and attend law school. It was the summer before I was supposed to start law school. I informed Dr. Padilla that I needed to add his class(there were plenty of extra seats), he told me that my story did not concern him. In the short time I sat in this pathetic excuse for a teacher's class, he was rude, cursed repeatedly, and behaved like a complete boor. This man is an embarrassment to the university and a walking argument for abolishing tenure. Raul Padilla is a small, pathetic man, and a horrible teacher.

DO NOT TAKE PADILLA! This class is extremely hard for a gen ed course. It's the only B I've made in college so far and I'm a sophomore! I had 3 years of Spanish in H.S. and it didn't help at all.

Padilla is a scary, scary man! I went in to the course being fairly fluent in Spanish and he lost me within the second week. He also cursed at us the second day of class and told us that to pass our book must become our Bible. For a Gen Ed course? Ridiculous.

For an introductory course, Padilla was very difficult. After the second day, he spoke Spanish only, no English. He explains little and leaves a lot of memorization on the part of the student. I had studied Spanish for three years before taking this class, and I barely got a B!
