Dr. Pegg is one of the nicest professors in the psychology department! He is very intelligent and understands how to relate the information he knows to his students. Although you do have to read the text, the lectures are much more important! About 70% of the questions on tests were from lectures. The good things about this class are that he curves tests, adds 10 points (or 5 questions) that are bonus if you get them right, the final is not cumulative, and you get to drop a test. As long as you read the chapters or skim over them and go to class everyday you will make an A in this course! Pegg is seriously one of the best professors at WKU and the psychology department should be glad they have him!

This was my favorite class at WKU. Dr. Pegg knows his stuff real well and is an excellent teacher. Take him, it's a real good class. He gives lots of extra credit and drops lowest test score. It's important to read the book for this class bc 60% of the test comes from notes and 40% from book. Take him. Super nice guy!

Anyone who has ANY common sense at all will get an A in this class with no problem. Phil does make the class interesting and if you can concentrate with his sexiness staring you in the face this class will give you no problems. He is a bit of an egomaniac but if you can overcome that its an easy course.

First off, he has a huge ego. Once you get pass that it gets better. I had to get a tutor to help me understand stuff because I cannot learn by copying notes for over an hour. On the brightside he did give lots of extra credit!

If you go to class you will recieve a TON of extra credit, I didn't do very good on my first test but one of your lowest test grades gets dropped. I just listened in class and took notes, studied that and got 100 on my test(with the extra credit)! Very easy A!

I loved Dr. Pegg. At times, he seems a bit egotistical, but is overall a very understanding and very knowledgeable man. He is always willing to help when needed, and loves teaching. Take thorough notes and use the study guides and book and you will do fine.

Dr. Pegg is a likable, smart man. He is very understanding and reasonable. He knows almost everyone's name within the first two weeks and gives you bonus points at the end of the semester if you have perfect attendance. It is very important that you read the assigned chapters in the books because that is where the majority of the test questions come form; there are a lot of powerpoints for this class but they aren't that important for the tests. The research paper sucked but like I said, he grades pretty easy. Dr. Pegg's study guides are very broad so the best way to succeed in his class is to simply keep up with the assigned readings. Don't let the eight page study guide scare you - Dr. Pegg is a good teacher and a nice guy who really encourages discussion. Also, he's ULTRA SEXY!!

If you want to take this class, be prepared to WORK. We had four tests, four papers (approx. 4 pages long), and a final project in this class. Dr. Pegg is VERY strict when it comes to proper grammer and formatting in the papers, but all you have to do is pay attention to the comments on the papers and you will end up doing well. The class was mostly lecture and discussion, then he began giving us in-class case studies to analyze based on what we had been learning in class. I would recommend taking Dr. Pegg for any of his classes if you are willing to REALLY WORK. This is no easy A.

Dr. Pegg really gets into psychology, you can tell he loves it. I enjoyed taking his class, it was fun and as long as you study and do the work and attend class on a regular basis you will do fine. There are tons of extra credit opportunities that can really help your grade if you do bad on a few tests. I recommend taking him if you have the chance. Yes there are a lot of notes but they are powerpoint notes and he explains them straight to the point.

This was my favorite class for the semester I took it. Pegg is really a brilliant proffesor, you can ask him anything and you can't stump him, he'll have an answer. But the point is, ask questions because its a large sized class and if someone doesn't try to make it intresting, you sit there copying powerpoints the whole time...who likes that! He gives extra credit just about every other friday or holiday which is awesome. He also offers 5 extra credit points on your final grade if you do 5 extra study board sessions...which take 30 minutes of your time and are completly worth it. Make sure to study for his test though because they are pretty demanding.

Dr. Pegg is a very good teacher. He jokes with you to keep you awake and he often shocks you with some of the comments that he makes. He is easy going and will help you to do your best. I did not expect an A, but somehow I got it. I did okay on the tests but I did pretty good on the papers and great on the final project.
The class is not that difficult, but you will have do put some effort into it. He knows that you have other classes, but you must also give him some of your time for this class. It is a VERY interesting class, and you will talk about a variety of abnormal behaviors and their relation to the DSM.

The easiest class that I had all semester. All you have to do is read the notes and you'll be fine. I made a 98 in the class. There is no reason to get below a "B". Mr. Pegg is very nice but hates cell phones and people who are late to class.

Professor Pegg is a good teacher, but be prepared to take an insane amount of notes. His tests are pretty hard, but if you talk to him about it, he'll find a way to help you. The biggest lesson I learned was to read the chapters after the class because he is big on the book. But he gives out study guides for all the the tests, and you get to drop your lowest test grade.

Dr. Pegg wasn't a terrible teacher, but you have to get over his ego first. He is very pompous, and sometimes acts higher than everyone else. He laughs at certain psychological disorders, and acts as if people with these disorders are pathetic.
He uses powerpoints everyday, with an extreme amount of notes. He goes through the slides quickly, and talks about them while you are trying to copy the slides. Therefore, you miss the explanation and you're left with only definitions and basic information to study. You are then asked to apply disorders, etc. on the test and it can be confusing.
You do get lots of extra credit though, sometimes just for showing up to class.

Pegg is a great teacher! He does all of his notes on PowerPoint, which is sometimes hard to keep up with, especially during a summer session. His test are moderately difficult, you have to read the book. Pay attention to the study guides, Marissa does a good job at covering what is going to be on the test with them!
Enjoyed the random class discussions that we had everyday!

it is better to be there then not. He sends around a sign in sheet. The whole time you take notes. Though he is a very fun teacher. i really enjoyed him. There is no homework, but study for the test. There is extra credit, especially when on fridays or before holidays, when there is no one in class, so be there it will help. Overall he is a great professor.

Dr. Pegg is great. This was the only class I really enjoyed going to. His lectures arn't that boring, and come straight from PPT. Be sure and read the textbook though, some questions on the exam come from it. Also, go to class! He gives extra credit for going to class! Take him.

Dr. Phil is the man, hands down. He has a good way of explaining things and applying them to real life. His lectures come from the Power Point, so all you have to do is copy them. This guy is an extra credit nut. Just show up to class on Friday, and he'll give you one point of extra credit. Also, he includes 5 bonus questions on every test that add up to an extra 10 points on your test if you get them right. Highly recommended. You'll be sorry if you don't take him.

I thought this was my easy class. I hardly went, but when i did, i made sure it was a friday or when you don't think no one will be there. He gave out almost 10 extra credit points for each test for people who showed up on the days no one was there. The tests are easy if you just look over your book, and he even give you a chance to do research which can be done on-line for a lot of extra credit. The notes, straight off powerpoint.. i ended up not writing nothing towards the end of the class..

Dr. Pegg is a very knowledgeable professor in the field of Psychology. He's a certified clinical psychologist and knows his stuff.... this is a total lecture course and he uses power point and the amount of notes are ridiculous, but it is an interesting class and I loved it. He has TAs that help him with attendance and are there for test days when he is not. He has 3 tests and a mandantory final...he drops the lowest of the three regular test grades, which gives students a chance to bring up their grades. He's very understanding if you miss his class and send him an email. He will count it as an excused absence and doesn't count off if you miss class. He doesn't like people to be late or leave early, but he is very nice and understanding. Study for his tests a couple days in advance because the tests are usually over 3 to 4 chapters and cover a LOT of information and even though his tests are multiple choice, they are quite difficult. He gives essay questions at the end as bonus points on your tests. Also, I had a rather large class, which is normal for Psy 100, and many people missed on Friday, so he would give extra credit to people that were there that day... so it helps to go to his class.
