The whole class is taught by video presentations which is good, but some material is confusing and if you need to email him then expect 3-7 days before you'll receive a response. Pay close attention to the schedule posted because it is misleading and no room for error or consideration if you mis-interpret confusing syllabus.

His class is fairly easy. The reason why I got a C was because on one of my tests blackboard kicked me off and I got a 16/40. I emailed him 4 times and he NEVER acknowledged that I even tried to contact him. When you take a class online a prof should always be available by email and he isn't and he even has an iphone. I would take someone else if you could!

Online class. Teacher does not return phone calls or emails even though he states he will return in 48 hours.(this is a communication class) Blackboard lectures are copied straight from Blackboard. Material is potentially helpful, but presented poorly.

I took this as an online class and it was really easy. I pulled a B and forgot to turn in an assignment and take a test. There is lots of extra credit as well. However, McDonald is, in fact, a dumbass and terrible teacher. All he does is post lectures of him reading slides you can get off the course website. He then puts info from the text and slides into his tests. Literally, the questions and the class are so boring that it could knock out an insomniac. All his assignments are based out of the book as well, and the book happened to be as interesting as staring at a blank piece of paper. Seriously this class is horrible, I recommend anything else over this.

Mr. McDonald is a great guy. He likes teaching and really cares about his students, but his class is pointelss. He teaches based on his opinions but tests on what's in the book, so it is very easy to get confused on the exams between fact and opinion. His exams are taken in the lab on blackboard. You have an exam after each chapter and there is usuall two (Tues and Thur) class periods between each exam. All of his notes are on Blackboard, but theyh don't really help much. He questions the most nit-picky subjects that require you tp pay attention to very fine detail. He never even really teaches in class, he just talks about whatever he feels like and it's extremly easy to get him off subject. He does give a lot of extra credit though. Great guy, pointless, boring class. Take him if you must.

Boring class, but easy as well. Just come to class and show interest in it (even if you are truly not interested) and you will do fine.
