She talks the whole class. She makes you do New York Times responses every week 2 of them. 25 journal entries to the end or you get deducted. Her papers were only about food or nothing. She wants you to write something to put in her books. You have to write about how to cook food and why you cook it and how your aunt, uncle or grandma did it. This is the worst professor I have ever had. She treats you like your in kindergarden with assigned seats too. DONT TAKE HER.

You have matching vocabulary quizzes and 3 papers. This is the major part of your grade. However, there are many small things she does that count as grades. A lot of reading is required and short responses due on each at end of semester. This class does take a little bit of time, but is fairly easy. If you show up, do what is asked you will make an A. Depending what is going on around campus at the time, extra credit is given based on this. Anywhere from 1 to 4-5 oppurtunities will be given (each worth 10 pts). Even if you do bad on something the extra credit will help bring your grade up. Good Professor, good class.

Professor Murrey is a good professor. I had her for both English 100, and English 200. It is very obvious she loves what she is doing and she does her best to make the class as exciting as she can. You are required to do a lot of weekly readings but that just goes along with an English class. You do not have a final. You simply turn in your portfolio of papers, and other assignments you have completed throughout the semester. I would have earned an A in the course if I would have studied a little harder for her 3 term quizzes. The course is not bad at all. You will earn an "A" or a "B" no problem if you put forth any effort.

Professor Murrey's class is what I would call "just right" for a 100 level course. She is always there to help anyone at anytime. You must write in journal everyday and have a total of 25 full pages by the end of the semester. You will write a research paper that I would call by far the most difficult assignment of the course. She does not give you anything, you must earn it. With hard work you can do well. I will be taking English 200 with her this upcoming semester.

I really like Ms. Murrey for a teacher! Writing a Research paper is mandatory for Eng300. It wasnt that bad! She prepares you for writing the research paper. You also have a journal and portfolio due at the end of the semester. Thats easy. Then you have to make a Brochure, which is fun and easy as well! Take this class! It's a good class and a GREAT teacher!!

Dr. Murrey is a very nice person, but she took what should have been an interesting subject, and managed to make it boring. However, she does try hard. This class includes a lot of reading and writing, but she doesn't grade quality, just quantity. Tests are somewhat difficult, but they are multiple choice. She will listen and try to help if you have problems, but you have to speak up. Good Luck!

Dr Murray is a superb literary instructor. She allowed the students much leeway in their individual literary pursuits. Subjects of drama and poetry were challenging as well as encouraging individual writing assignments. Positive note: Her classroom energy inspired me to enjoy writing three separate essays rather than dreading the task. Her overall knowledge of both writing and grammar tasks me to pursue other literary sources. Poetry and drama are both enjoyable, especially if you can enjoy them for what they are. Negative note: Creative writing is not easy; you must seek other sources to succeed. lporch

I liked Mrs. Murrey a lot. She really enjoys what she does. We had to write three papers and she was fairly easy on me as far as grading went. I would definately take another class with her if I had the opportunity.
