If you are a DMT major, then you have to take Textiles. And of course the class is hard...it's textiles. Dr. Gardner teaches it very well, although you do have to take a 2 and a half hour lab...but once it's over, it's over.

I think Dr. Gardner is a great teacher. She seems to really enjoy doing what she does. Her test can be a little tricky, so study! Just make sure you read all the answers. Other than that, I would definetly recommend her.

Dr. Gardner's test are very difficult, so study, study, study. However, everything you learn is her class is very helpful, and it is information you need to know.

Go to class everyday, or you will be very behind and won't catch up. Other than that, it takes time to learn how to sew, so hang in there, and don't give up.

Very expensive course to take. Supplies for the entire semester could easily be around $200.00. Course is basically independent study, alot of on your own work. Dr. Gardner has no patience for someone without sewing skills. She exprects perfection from everyone with little or no guidance. Very hardnosed and penalizes strictly for late assignments. Good luck.

Well, to start she reads everything exactly out of the book...so bring your highlighter! The exams can be difficult if you do not clearly understand the subject. Her lab is very beneficial though, that is where I did the majority of my learning. She can be boring to follow and sometimes treats her students like 3rd Graders. At the end of the semester...there is a copy availbable of her previous exams to look at....do yourself a favor and take advantage of that! Especially if you didnt' get it right the first time!
