It's very hard to stay awake listening to Ms. Spears much less pay attention. The writing assignments were poorly graded. She makes you attend class and doesn't allow cell phones. The class wouldn't be hard at all, however, she is just difficult to put up with.

Dr. Spears is a sweet, sweet lady. I recommend taking her for Eng 300 definitely. Not a lot of assignments, and you usually don't ever stay in class the entire time. I also like the approach she takes to the research paper. You get to work in groups and pick a local non-profit to write about and help. She isn't an easy grader, though. I consider myself a decent writer and I got B's on most everything.
For what it's worth, Dr. Spears is sweet as pie and I don't think this class will be too terribly difficult for anyone with a basic grasp of English.

This class was super easy but a big waste of time. I can' t believe this course was of college level; a sixth grader could do that course load. She is very dull and boring, and you also have to get over her shuffling her feet and hidious oufits. She is also a bias grader. No matter what I done, wrote it the night before or even went to the LAC for editting, I made B's all semester. It seemed like she just put a B at the top of every paper and didn't even read it. But easy course but TOTAL waste or time and by far will be the most boring ever as well.

Dr. Spears is a very VERY VERY specific woman. She wants to know every detail to whatever the subject you are writing about. And she wants it presented in your essay. She, in my opinion, over thinks too much. I would not recomend this class to anyone that is just taking Eng. 300 because it's required. (Which is most of us) Dr. Spears grades papers like you should be and English major.

This class is an easy A if you put a little effort into it. Dr Spears does not have any tests. The class is made up of 5 main projects to turn in, with two of the projects being group oriented. The book for the class is one that she put together herself with great examples to follow so that you know exactly what to turn in. Follow that and you will receive an A.

This class was very easy but boring at the same time. i honestly did not get much from it. Spears is a good professor, he knew what he was talking about and his tests were very simple. I was disappointed later to find out that this class did not count as a gen ed or anything. i felt like i wasted my time.

The first half of the class was pretty boring. It was just going in and listening to a lecture that wasn't very stimulating. The second half of the class was a lot more fun because we got to do a group project. Just beware, Dr. Spears is a biased grader. I feel that some of my work deserved better grades than what they got. I think how you do on your first paper will determine how she looks at your papers throughout the class. Do well in the begining, and stick it out 'til the group project about mid-term time, and you'll be alright. There are no exams, no quizzes, no test-taking anything. You only write resumes, memos, reports, etc.

This class was really pretty easy, but frustrating b/c it feels like a waste of time. You have to go to a weird place to get the book, but it's cheap. No tests but a really long and complicated group project. If you have to take this class Dr. Spears is OK but a little dry.

The whole class is writing 4 short essays of 3-5 pages and an 6-8 page research paper which you are introduced to the first day of class. She tries to scare you into thinking you'll fail if you plagerize but as long as you make a good effort she grades pretty easily. The class is easy but very boring. On an up side she never keeps you the whole class. Most days you're there for 20-30 minutes tops since the only thing you do is write papers on your own and have group days when you edit each others papers. Unless you really want to learn a lot in English 300 and get to read this is the class to take.

this class was easy but not a total joke. We did learned a lot of things that will be used in the real world. Dr. Spears even lets you turn in your paper for her revision before turning it in for grading; it doen't get better than that. There is no final. The only downside is a lot of unneccessary lecture at the beginning of the semester. It's a real snoozer.

This class is a breeze. You have to write a resume, cover letter, do a group project, and do persuasive request letters. There are no tests and the final is an evaluation of the course.

This course is easy. There are no tests, just papers to write. At the end of the semester you have to complete a big group project but she gives you plenty of time to work on it. Overall, I enjoyed the class. I usually hate english but I actually enjoyed this course. You learn to do things you will actually have to do someday like write memos, resumes, and application letters.
