Mrs. Rogers was a good, solid teacher to have for Math 116. She went through the information thoroughly with us, and nothing was too difficult for me to handle. The tests are bad, you just have to think and answer carefully. I've already started recommending her to my other friends for 116!

Overall she was a very good teacher. I learned a lot in her class and made an A on every test. Instead of a book or paper assignments, she uses MYMATHLAB, which is a very helpful program. I once missed a week of class and she was happy to help me with the problems I didnt understand. She also lets you take your tests as many times as you want.

This math class with this teacher is great for anyone who isn't the best at math. Mrs. Rogers is a wonderful teacher. If you don't understand a concept you can ask in class and she will clear it up quickly. She doesn't like to waste time, so you learn alot. Her tests are OK, to some they may be hard or easy depending on the amount you study. She does offer extra credit everyday, if you do problems on the board. And believe me, extra credit points at the end help alot.

Rogers is a very nice teacher but if you are not good at math like me i suggest that you not take her. she moves way to fast and you have homework every single night. she goes really fast and it is very hard to understand the way she teaches. I would recommend not taking her. The only thing that helps me is she gives a bonus point when you do a problem from the homework on the board.

I hated this class. Although a really nice lady....she went too fast and wasn't very helpful in trying to help you understand. I had 116E which met everyday....and everyday I would dread going to class. TONS of homework EVERYDAY. Take at your own risk.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take Mrs. Rogers for anything! She is the worse instructor ever, she thinks dhe knows what she is taking about but really she is as lost as the class, way to much homework. She goes over 3 chapters in one class time, I wish I would have listened to others but I had to find out the hard way...DON"T TAKE HER!!!!

Professor Rogers is an awesome fun teacher. I recommend her to anyone taking Math 116. She is always willing to help you until you understand the concept being taught. She also gives you practice tests to do before the test and even has a review day.

I have trouble with math, but Mrs. Rogers was very helpful. She always answered any questions we had and even let us put homework problems we had trouble with on the board before class so we could get a chance to see them worked by another student for extra credit or by her. She was very good at explaining things and she even let us retake a couple of tests since a lot of us did poorly. I would highly recommend her.

Homework was graded, and was upwards of fifty or so prolems every night. I didnt pass this class, and the teacher doesnt care to help you or explain it again. This is easily the hardest math class I have ever had, because Rogers assigns so much work and takes off alot of points on test for stupid things. She made it really hard to learn. If youre bad at math, run in the other direction.

This class started out okay, but quite quickly, Mrs. Rogers forgot she was teaching a 116E class. She goes very very fast, and rarely spends more than one class on a concept. It was SO frustrating! The homework is everynight and on average 30-50 problems. It got really overwhelming really fast. I spent 2-3 hours a week in the Math Lab and got a tutor from Sudent Support Services and still only hobbled out with a shaky D. I am retaking this class next semester with a different teacher.

Great teacher, I wish I would of taken her the first time I took 116. The problems on the test are like the ones done in class, unlike other teachers thinking they can put uncovered material on tests.

She is the worst math teacher I have EVER had. Half our class ended up having to audit 096 because she is such an awful teacher. She goes way too fast and can't explain anything. She has actually assigned more than 80 problems in one night and expects you to do every problem! Do NOT take her unless you're extremely good at math. She's really nice and can be funny, but she's just an awful teacher. I have to retake this class next semester, and I definitely won't be retaking it with her!

Let me just start off by saying that i took this class then i went to a audit. This class is hard though. You will have homeowrk every single night. You will never have a night to where you will not have homework. You will have from 10-80 problems a night. She gives you alot of owrk to do. You have 4 test and sometimes she will give you a study guide and sometimes she will not. She will always tell you at least 3 days before your test. Mrs. Rogers is a really good and cool teacher. She will help you in any way that she can but again this class can be hard and it does have alot of work. She does let you have extra credit. You have to work out problems on the board and then you will get 1 extra point.

The first time I took 116 I failed it because my teacher didn't take up homework (so I didn't do it). Ms. Hudspeth is really nice and she might go fast but if you ask questions or go to her office she will help you alot. Even though I had homework just about every night, her tests were rather easy. And she is a much better teacher than the 1st guy I had.

You are not allowed to use a calculator at all in this class, she gives poor examples that do not cover all the required work. I would not sugest taking this teacher in a 100 level class.

Mrs. Hudspeth is a very good math teacher. I will say that you do alot of homework and she takes it up for a grade but it helps you out with your grade. Also she gives bouns points to the people that go to the board and work problems. She teaches that class so that you will understand it and if you do not understand something then she will make it so that you do understand. You do take alot of notes but you know you kinda need to cause it is math.

I put between 8 and 10 hours per week into this class out side of class time. I went to the math lab and had study groups and still ended up with a grade I am not satisfied with. I dont feel that this course should take up more of my time then my chemistry class and it did. Homework assignments are way way too much. Homework should be expected every night and that is to be turned in. Good Luck if you have to take her!!!!

Mrs. Hudspeth (Rogers) was a really nice person, but I could not connect with her method of teaching. I did good in high school Math, but I found her class to actually be a little challenging. She expects alot out of you. You can never use a calculator and her test cover so much material. If I could of used a calculator I would of had an A. She counts off for the smallest mistake, and she doesn't just take one point off, she takes several. I don't recommend her for Math 100, because if your taking this level math your probably not awesome at math anyways, and she is not much of a help.

Math is harder at WKU than any other public university. Mrs. Hudspeth tried to help, it is just so difficult and really says something about how prepared none of us are......I am retaking and going with her again and maybe again.

Ms. Hudspeth is the SHITTIEST teacher I have ever had in math in my life. She goes soooo fast and jumps around from problem to problem like a maniac. I worked so hard and still couldnt pull a decent grade. Her tests cover so much, because there are only a few of them. It woulda been much better if she broke it up more. This is class is hard but she is a great teacher. She will explain any problem you have very well and she offers a bunch of extra credit. Her class goes pretty slow so you will have time to catch it all! Make sure you do pay attention though.

I am still in her class, she is a cool professor. If you come to class and do your homework, you will be fine. I have a hard time with math but I have been doing okay because a class goes like this...She goes over homework problems that you couldn't figure out, students get to put them on the board if they know how to do them(1 point extra credit each) After she is finished going over the problems that students didn't understand, she gives notess on the next section af homework and then you go home and do it and this process repeats.
She is cool
she has study sessions once a week for help at the math lab.
I read some of these other posts and they said that she lets you re-take tests, not true now, but her tests are not bad if you study, and come to class.

I honestly think that she does try to make math fun, but it is hopeless. She goes very fast and when our class did bad on a few tests she threw her book down in front of the class and pretty much told us we were dumb (just not in those words). She is good at making you feel dumb, and she thinks that everyone should understand everything she says. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! If you don't, you'll fail!

This teacher is the worst teacher I have ever had. She flies through fast and is not welling to help. She let me fail, just because I was sick and she didn’t give me second chance. She is very hard, doesn’t explain into detail and will embers you at front of class. I wouldn’t recommend her to anybody.

Mrs. Hudspeth makes a valid attempt to make class fun. Doing homework in this class is pretty crucial as it counts for 20% of your final grade. Tests are moderately hard and she does a lot of trick questions.

Professor Hudspeth is the best math teacher I have ever had. She explains everything very thourougly and she will go over something as many times as needed until you understand. If you still don't understand and you want the 1 on 1 help, then you can go to her office at any time and get the help. She loves math so she is really good at teaching it. She is very easy to get along with. It's a lot of fun being in her class. If you aren't very good at math, or you don't really like it, or even if you do like it a lot, take her. She will help you earn a good grade.

Mrs. Hudsepth is a great teacher. She explains the assignments well and is willing to help you outside of class if you need. But I think that if you show up for class each day you will find it easy. Laura Hudspeth is a good teacher but many times I believe she goes over peoples heads. I was able to talk to another teacher and I was told she has a high failure rate, not to be mean, but I could believe it. She goes really fast through the information and tries to slow down for questions, but it seems like she feels like there isn't enough time for anything. She will check homework on random days and won't give you any warning to when. If you are planning on taking her just be careful.

Mr. Hudspeth is the sweetest teacher that I have met here so far. She is one of those teachers who had to work very hard to get where she is now. So, she truely understands those students who are having difficulty in math. She cares about her students as long as they work hard. She doesnt' have much tolerance for slackers though. If you are a hard worker and looking for a professor that cares for their student, then Mrs. Hudspeth is your professor.

She is very nice. If you make below a 75 on the test then you can retake it, but you will not be able to get any better than a 75 on your 2nd attempt. The final is multiple choice. She is very easy going.

If you're not strong in math, this is the woman to take! She will help you actually learn and understand math. I thought she was great. She explains everything really well and even though you have hmwk. about every night, she grades on whether or not you tried to do it, not if they're right or wrong. She reviews before the tests and is willing to help you if you're having trouble.

The lectures are easy to understand. Grades are taken on the homework and if you bomb the test, you can re-take it.
