I took Children's Lit online, making it a very easy course. I had difficulty getting in touch with Mrs. Crafton, making it very frustrating to receive the answers that I needed. She also takes a long time to grade things, which I was not a fan of. Mrs. Crafton also works at an elementary school during the day, so I would probably recommend taking her in a classroom setting over the online course.

This was one of the easiest and most enjoyable classes I have taken. I took this class online, but I really did learn a lot. You are required to do 2 reading journals of 15 books each which do take a long time, but they are very easy to do. We used the discussion board a great deal, posting a new topic for discussion every week. Tests are multiple choice and right out of the book. (They are very easy!!) The fina is a multiple choice test over the last few chapters in the book and you also have to do a 30 book lesson that you could someday teach to children. This lesson could be something like the five senses, the four seasons, or it could be something for older children. The only complaint that I have about this class is how long it takes for Mrs. Crafton to reply to e-mails. If you have a question about anything ask it about a week before you want to know the answer. Overall, I really enjoyed this class and highly reccommend taking it online. Just don't wait until the last minute to do your book reviews!

I took the online class and it was at time...time consuming, but the textbook is required but i rarely needed it. There is quite a few assignments, disscussion boards with a bibliography at the end. Mrs. Crafton takes a really long time to grade things. That is one thing I do not like. But overall experience was ok. I would take childrens lit in class not online.

Mrs. Crafton is really nice. She is a librarian. She brings fun books in class. Most of the semester you do book talks. Which is where you read a couple books and talk about them in front of the class (you only do 2). You have to do a 30bk reading journal and an annotated bib at the end of the semester. You also have one group project. I had her at night and she never kept us the whole time. You have 4 10 question quizzes on Blackboard and the 4th quiz is the final. She takes attendance each class but she is not real strict on it. I didnt use the book much. You might be able to get by with out it. But for the group project we needed ours. But since you are in a group I guess you could just share.

She is very boring. I took her as a night class, and she is a librarian at an elementary school during the day, and she talked to us like we were in elementary school. She is a good teacher, and a nice person, if you can pay attention to her. She does all the quizzes online and you have 2 weeks to take them, and there were no exams. There are several big, time consuming, and grade-important projects to complete. Overall, I would recommend taking her, and then just pray to not let her monotone voice lull you to sleep!
