I had an A on every test in this class. I knew the material. But I have an F why? Because I had 9 absences. She will fail you after 5. I had two excused but that was still 7 absences. I think Kim is a nice person, and I love her dog, but as a teacher, she's not great. She doesn't hold the standards herself that she expects you to hold. She missed class atleast 3 or 4 times, with no email, just a note on the door when you got there, or a substitute teacher. I think she can be very unreasonable.

Kim is the worst teacher EVER!!! She expects too much out of her students and requires too much outside of class work. She is unfair in her grading and only give you a good grade if she likes you! She assigns particpation points unfairly and is very hard to get a hold of outside of class!!! I wanted to make sign langauge my minor, but because of her I hate!!!

Kim is a wonderful teacher! She cares about her students and tries to make you successful in her class!
She gives you extra time on labs only if it is truly needed so don't by any means expect an extension.
You have to attend 2 Deaf Community Events but they are extremely rewarding. I went to a performance in Nashville and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! Kim also rode in our car which made it even more fun!
She is really a wonderful person that takes pride in sharing her culture to those who wish to understand it!! I definitely recommend you take her classes!!

Kim was a really nice teacher. This was one of her first classes ever teaching at WKU so she was a little unorganized sometimes, I did learn a lot though. It's just hard with stuff like contact hours and what not because there's not a very big Deaf Community in Bowling Green.

Kim is an excellant teacher and she is deaf. I took this course because I wanted to learn American Sign Language. She took quiz weekly and she seem a nice woman to work with. I have to take care of assignments at the lab and I am thankful for Jeremiah, Lab worker, who is deaf also that helped me go through. He is helpful and very friendly. I benefit pretty much from both, Kim and Jeremiah. Take her class when you can and you will benefit.
