Ken Payne is probably one of the coolest professors ever. He's not here to destroy your GPA or anything and every assignment, test or whatever is online. We used a Google + account and were required to post stories to it. It's not difficult, and I learned a lot.

A really awesome guy! Oh my gosh I love Ken Payne. He starts off every class with some current events and helps you recognize exactly what PR is and does. I'm a non-major and took this and loved it! Because he's such a blast! Tests are so easy...but you HAVE to buy the book.

THIS GUY IS AMAZING! I honestly wish he taught every one of my other classes at WKU as well. He is super funny and friendly. Makes an effort to get to know everyone in the class on a first name basis, and I personally enjoyed all of the assignments. There's a blog to maintain, and along the way you get to do press releases, podcasts, videos, etc. This was by far one of my most favorite classes I've ever had.
TAKE PAYNE FOR EVERYTHING YOU CAN DONT THINK TWICE!

Took this in the summer and loved it. Easy Professor to work with. Learned so much and had a lot of fun doing it. On line class. 3 week course fast and furious but worth the time and effort.

I took this as a web course. Mr. Payne is very knowledgable about his field but is a bad teacher. If you have any questions, other then hoping he is in his office, you are out of luck. I had to make a complaint on his after he did not respond to 5 of my emails over a two month span. It's a WEB course for gosh sake! Overall the class was easy but definitely won't take him again.

This online course is breezy as long as you keep up with the assignments each week, which include a 20-question multiple choice quiz and brief 15-minute video lecture over each chapter; you cover two chapters per week. The four tests are all essay but he is generous about grades. You also have to produce a press release but he guides you through the process and gives you plenty of time to do it.
Ken Payne is a very laid-back professor but you can tell he is passionate about Public Relations. He can be pretty slow about getting tests graded but that's the only real downside to this class. I recommend it.

I think he was relaxed and had fun with the class and that what made me want to get up at 8 am to hear him leture. Overall, excellent and I will be taking him again!!!!!!

Don't take this course with Professor Payne unless you like to never receive feedback, not have your assignments graded, and never talk to him unless he pops into class. I've never been so annoyed with a professor concerning grades, feedback, and overall learning. Just take the three hour long course, trust me, it will save you a lot of stress and frustration. You'll probably learn a lot more, too.

Dr. Payne is an awesome professor! Very easy and laid back! But getting in touch with him is a hassle! Good luck if you need his help! I too was part of the experimental session to see if this class would work well as an online course. I think it would but it is nice to actually have help if you suck at MACs like I do. But overall this was an easy course, you do the work and you get an A. Simple...

Ken is a very easy professor to take. His projects aren't difficult, and he's got incredible enthusiam- for the most part. Good luck getting in touch with the man. He's extremely scatterbrained and unreachable. If you want a consistent answer or advice from him- don't hold your breath. All in all, he's got a great personality and he grades easy, but he's not actively helpful in the long run. But I guess we're only in it for the grade, aren't we?

This course [when taken with Dr. Payne] is mostly an online course. It's very easy to make an A in the class if you do the work... which isn't hard work at all. There is a quiz after each assignment on Blackboard, and the test questions come straight from the quiz. He is a very helpful teacher. I recommend this course with this teacher.

Mr. Payne is a really cool guy and he's very nice to his students and he'll joke around with you, but elec/tech was a bit hard for me. I get frustrated with computers and such, so I doubt it will be that hard for many people. I'm part of a test group right now where they are trying to make it more of an online class, but I think I would prefer it to be a class you sit in for 3 hours so that you can get work done. When you need help, he's always quick with answers and he's always very calm when someone like me gets irrate with a Mac.

If you are like me and will do anything for an A than this is your class. The classes are long and boring, sitting at a computer for 3 hours. As long as the assignments are finished on time than you will recieve 100%. Sometimes the assignments are frustrating, but just remember this may be the easiest A you have ever recieved. I have also heard rumors that other Jour 232 teachers have been tough and did real grading, so Payne may be the teacher for you.

Ken Payne is a great professor! He is sympathetic to late-work when you have a legitimate excuse, and he treats everyone with care! This was especially good for me since I knew nothing about PR when I got to his class! He's not concerned with textbook information unless it applies to what is going on in the PR-world today!

Take anything Ken Payne teaches! He's a great teacher and he'll keep you laughing! There's internet quizzes that are super easy and you'll figure out the trick to taking them after the first one, trust me! The tests are from the quizzes, verbatim. You'll also do a clipsheet toward the end of the semester but its not as hard as it sounds, trust me. Don't buy the book, I never needed it! You can take the quizzes without reading the chapters!

The tests and quizzes in this class are very simple. The only way you will not make an A or B is if you don't do the quizzes or never show up for class. Mr. Payne is a great professor with a good sense of humor. He is more concerned with teaching you what's happening in the PR field right now and how it works in the real world than sitting there forcing you to learn some textbook theoretical situation. "It's all about what you do." Take this course. You will learn a lot.

Kenneth Payne is an excellent teacher. He's fun and very helpful. He wants his students to learn. I knew nothing about computers, and he's been a tremendous help. There are no tests, or anything like that. You just have projects you have to work on. There is no due date for them...just have them done by the end of the semester. Your "tests/final" is just making sure your projects are done by the day of final. The only thing is you have to several books. So I would suggest teaming up with someone on the book buying. Otherwise, take Ken Payne...he's awesome!
