This has been one of my most favorite classes by far. This class is mostly getting hands on knowledge of the Adobe creative suite, and testing your skills in fun projects. Kelley works one on one with each student and provides strong encouragement and great advice. She is super understanding, very real, and treats her students as equals.

Kelley is an amazing professor! If this is the first class you take with her she may surprise you a bit, but she does her best to get to know every single student and help them grow individually. In 341 there are a lot of powerpoints and lectures to cover the basics, but Kelley makes it funny and interesting. I enjoyed it and made new friends as well!

Kelly is Awesome! She is the greatest teacher I have ever had. She is understanding and really cares about her students. Come to class and you will do great.

Kelley is awesome, and is always there for help if you need it. The only thing that some may think as difficult is tuning into their creative side. She grades on the process you take to complete your projects, not so much the final result, however she does still care how they appear. This is a great class and everyone should take it with Kelley.

Kelley is such a well rounded, fun-loving teacher! She is simply the best. This class is hands on and she is seriously the most helpful teacher I have ever had. She is so much fun and once you really get to know her she is a hoot and a half! Take this class because it allows you to understand CS3 in an unstressful environment.

Kelley's classes are VERY bittersweet.

If you show up, you are guaranteed an A basically.

She has to control everything though, if you are not creative, this is helpful but annoying. I'm on the account side and I love Kelley as a person and teacher, but she will take full classes out for the same 3 students to help them with projects. Sometimes I would be so irritated i would walk out in the middle of class.

BUT, once she does help you, she will answer any question you need and show you anything you need. If you need help in other classes, she will help you. She is always willing to meet outside of class too.

Take Kelley for any class you can.

The class was semi-boring until we got into our projects and class discussions. Most of the class, however, was lecture but if you zone out and don't take notes don't fret. She gives open book tests which are easy and always multiple choice. She's understanding about absences but don't miss more than 3. She cancels class a lot and she is a bit scatterbrained because she is a new mom. She is also very slow about getting grades back to you. Yet, if you need help with anything including your degree program she will be more than happy to help you. She is very knowledgeable and has some good advice to students about a lot of things, especially career advice.

this class was the SHIT. The tests were open book, there are only 2 projects, which are cake, and Kelley is awesome.

Her only flaw is the amount of time she takes to grade everything, it could take weeks to get back a test.

This is an awesome class! She is really sweet and helps you out if you need it! TAKE HER!

Kelly has been my favortie teacher this semester, so much so that I'm writing an eval about her on this site. Just show up to class and have your easy Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator assignments done and your're fine. If you need extra time to complete the asignments in class, no problem. Kelly expects attendance and participation. She is so much fun. She's really good at teaching these Adobe computer programs and she knows her stuff. I can't imagine anyone ever taking her class and not falling in love with how cool she is. TAKE KELLY FOR THIS CLASS! She'll tell you the first day of class that her name is Kelly, not Mrs. Coppinger. She says that if you call her anything but Kelly she'll know something is wrong. She'll probably tell you she'll fail you (as a joke of course). Kelly is young (mid 30's?)and so full of life. I'm taking her for additional classes in the next few years. She says she's harder on her seniors but I would suppose that as long as you're doing the project/assignment, you can't go wrong. Kelly is easy to meet with during office hours. You'll find yourself spending time in there when you really were just passing by to say hello. She loves to talk! Your first major assignment is in Illustrator. She'll create some off-the-wall, cooky project for eveyone to duplicate. Lots of fun. But, it involves everything you should have learned in the class already. These are the VERY EASY tests. And you get about a week to complete it. Open book. She'll help you. This is not a stressful class at all. This class is a GPA booster but you must come to class and do the easy work on MAC computers (or you can do it at home, but you still have to show up). You will learn in this class from one of the most awesome instructors Western has in the J&B Dept.

Kelley is the greates teacher ever! I recommend her for any class possible to take. The class is based on projects. We had to complete 5 projects this semester. The first one she gave us was more of a test of past skills and the class gets easier from that point. It is required for most all Journalism majors but is definately a fun class.

I love Kelley!! She was an awesome teacher!! Elect Tech was so much fun I even changed my major. She explains things over and over so you understand and teaches you different ways of doing things so you find your own way of doing it. She rocked!!

Kelley, is an amazing teacher! She makes it clear in the very beginning that this is a pass/fail class. Basically, you show up, do your work, be creative, and have fun! I highly recommend taking her for this class.

She is by far the best teacher i ever had. she knows her stuff and never makes you feel as if you are an idot. if you have the chance to take her for more than one class i would do it she is cool and knows how to relate to her students.

This class was really disjointed and redundant at times. We didn't do a lot of projects, and we went over the same stuff over and over again. Kelley is an awesome person and a cool teacher, but you don't really learn anything in the class. It's kind of pointless, but it's required for some majors. Just do a good job on your projects and take her advice and you'll do fine.

Kelley is probably the most random person you will ever meet, and her personality makes the class even more fun. She doesn't expect us all to be creative like she is, but she does expect you to get out of your comfort zone and try. All you have to do is put effort into your projects and turn them in on time. She is full of ideas and will help you see a creative side of yourself that you may not have even known existed. I suggest taking the 3 hour night class because it works better than chopping your design time into hour-long segments.

i found this course to be very easy and fun because basically you just get to play on the computers the whole time. I would reccomend that you take the once a week class because you will need all of that time. She is an absolutely woderful teacher and i wish that she taught more than one class!

Kelley is the coolest teacher. When I went to class the first day I knew it was going to be a good one. She's really good at what she does, and she truly wants you to learn. This class is easy- just do the assignments.

I absolutely loved going to this class, and Kelley was always a lot of fun. All you have to do for an A is do the assignments in the book, which you usually can get done during class, at least try a little on your projects, and show up the days of the tests. She doesn't let anyone leave after a test until they get an A, and she will usually just tell you the answer. Kelley keeps saying that her print design class is much harder, and I don't know about that one yet because I haven't taken it; when I do, I am going to most definitely try to take her class though.

I know it looks like I gave NO information on Kelley, but here you go... Her tests are SO cool. You take them in class and work with your computer. If you can't get the answer she'll tell it to you. The whole point is so that you understand what she's trying to teach you. She's young and fun and SO cool. Take her class if you get the chance. You'll learn SO much and have fun doing it.

Kelley was one of the best teachers I've had at WKU. She was so helpful, both with the application part and the creative part of the class. There were no tests, and we really didn't ever use the text. Kelley always made herself available outside of class and helped with fresh ideas for any project.
