She is a really good teacher because she goes really slow and repeats things. She understands that French is not the easiest subject and therefore takes the time to go over things so everyone will understand.

Nice lady who never gives homework... there are quizes each Friday, two oral exams, and two tests. She tells you before hand what will be on the tests, quizes, and oral exams. She moves through the curriculum slowly... SO, if you're looking to attain the skills to survive in Paris, take somebody else. If you're looking to get some foreign language credits without too much hassle, this is your class. However, if you suck at taking tests, you should know that her midterm counts 35%, and her final counts 40%--both are cumulative. Attendance counts 15% (oral exams are included), and quizes count 10%; so if you f*ck up on the tests, you're f*cked.

Ms.Smith is really nice. She used to live in France. She knows her stuff. At the beginning of the semester I was doing really good. She goes real slow and makes sure you know your stuff. She gives one oral exam. It is the easiest of all! She is strict on attendance. Which is good in this class because if you miss one then you are hurting. However, she allows 2 absences. The final is a beast. It is cummulative. It is hard. I studied a week before the test and didnt do as good as I thought. I enjoyed this class just wish I could have come out with a higher grade. Oh, she starts class 5 minutes early but she lets you out like 40 minutes early. With the textbook. She used it like maybe 6 times the whole semester. I would either share the book with someone or just ask someone in the class if you can make copies of the pages she goes over.

This class is pretty easy except Ms. Smith is kinda crazy. She is all over the place in class. She would teach the material for the day in about 15 minutes and then ramble on for 45 more minutes. We always got out about 30 minutes early, which was nice.

This course was okay, if you are interested in French. Ms. Smith is VERY willing to help students!! One thing that bugged me is she always started class 3-5 min. early, and I always got behind. You work in groups at times and work on prounciation, spelling and writing French. This class is not very difficult but does require attendance to understand the material.

Mrs. Smith is a great teacher. She is always willing to slow down if it is obvious that the class is confused, and she goes over things several times to help you learn it better. There are several components to your grade, including tests, weekly quizzes, attendance, participation, homework. If you are not a good test taker, I would reccomend her. I made d's on all of the tests, but still made a B in the class.

Ms. Smith is a great person. She definitely knows her French. It's easy to get an A in her class, but at the same time, I'm not sure how much French I learned. If you want an easy A, and a professor that will look at you as an equal, take Ms. Smith.
