Dr. Bilotta was a tremendous asset to WKU, he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Bilotta's family and friends. I know he loved WKU and he loved being able to open every student's mind and especially the Graduate students.

This is a very difficult course; however, it's a 400 level, so it's expected! Dr. Bilotta is a very nice man, though. If you can keep up with the work, you should be fine. The tests aren't TOO bad. I barely went to class and I was still able to pull off a B/C in the class. Also, there is extra credit offered before each test, so that always helps!

This class is intimidating, but Bilotta makes it so painless. He's a sweet guy who knows what he's talking about. It's a hard class because of the material, but if you keep up and study, you will do fine. His tests are multiple choice and then 2 out of 3 essays. He gives you extra credit for your test grade if you turn in a one page paper about something that amazed you in the chapter. There are four regular exams and he drops the lowest grade and then a comprehensive final. There is also a paper to write over something about the nervous system, but he reads drafts beforehand. It's really not as bad as it sounds. Just keep up with the work, and it's not that bad.

this course will make you want to drop out of college. it's a no joke class that makes you come to class every day, study your ass off, and receive average-to-low grades. after bombing the first two tests, i worked incredibly hard and came out with an A. this class is extremely challenging and will consume a lot of stress and study time. if you're masochistic and have nothing else to do, i recommend you take this course. and to anyone taking it: turn in those extra-credit papers and turn in at least one draft of each writing assignment...these will be your saviors.

I loathe this class in ways that I cannot fully express. Yes, the lectures are interesting, but the information doesn't pertain to the exam, which is ALL essay and you don't have clue as to what will be on it. You must pick his brain and pick through 20 pages of notes and about 100 pages and text and try to figure out what will be on the exam.
Papers are graded unfairly. I would not reccomend this class to Satan himself.

The class is incredibly interesting, but that will do you little good when it comes to the tests and papers. The tests consist of seven essay questions from which you pick five, each worth 20 points apiece. If you do not put every detail on your essay you will not get the full credit. The papers are worse. It is as if he judges the correctness of your ideas on how he feels at the moment or how he feels about you. There were several examples from comparing with other students of times they got counted off for something while I didn't, and then vice versa. We're talking the same type of material too. If you have a desire to work like you've never worked before and see yourself get a grade you do not deserve, feel free to take this class, otherwise, steer clear.

If you want a professor that blatantly criticizes and expects perfection on an 11 page paper then he's your man. I'm normally really good on papers and even got credit for the majority of my eng classes from AP credit but this guy is rediculous and gave me an obviously unfair grade. Comparing with other students' papers I discovered he marked something wrong on some and the same thing correct on others. He does provide opportunities of extra credit but not enough to make up for his grading. His lectures are interesting but his tests are essay questions that demand every detail to make credit. THIS IS A HARD CLASS REQUIRING A LOT OF WORK.

If you want an honors course in this subject, then I definately recommend this class. If you aren't in to a little extra hard work, then it would not be for you. The class is all discussion and he relates everything to his personal work or experience that is really surprizing. There was never a dull moment and I learned more than I thought would be possible.

Billotta is a good professor. He asks you to read the chapter before hand but it never really matters because he coveres everything that's going to be on the exams in the notes. He's energetic about psychology which is sometimes annoying but it makes the class enjoyable. But you do have to work hard in there to earn an A. There's two papers and four exams.

He talks very monotone, and he can get boring. THe test are simple, but you do have to do some studying. He is boring, but a cool guy.
