Johnathan was an allright instructor. His notes were very detailed and he moved at a snails pace. I felt like I was in a kindergarden class. He also has this massive obsession with Lord of the Rings.....(just a side note for you.) most of his word problems center around those stupid movies. He insists that you complete ALL your homework, and he takes it up for a grade, before each exam. In the syllabus he tells you that a normal class will consist entire of lecture, but there MIGHT be SOME times when he will give us time to complete homework durning class. That is a complete understatement!! EVERYDAY he gives you HALF the class period to complete your homework!!! And he refuses to let you leave the class until you show him your homework!! We are college students we do NOT need to be spoon fed! Anyway other than that if you want an EASY A, and can take the ever so tiresome class, then go right ahead.

Mr. Jernigan was one of the best math teachers I've had. He does not FORCE you to learn, but those who want to do well will indeed do well. He really tries hard to make you understand and will help in any way he can. great job Mr. Jernigan.

Jernigan is a bomb-ass instructor, when I couldn't learn Algebra from anyone else his teaching was very effective. Homework is madatory and if you want to pass you ought to do it anyway, but what is important here is his excellent ability to convey Algebraic ideals

 

Easy course. Hated taking it. A breeze if you happened to bomb the Math Placement Exam like I did. Daily homework is not manditory.
