This course was probably one of the best courses I've taken in college. It's structured differently than your typical class. You share more of your ideas on how to handle particular situations while learning business management concepts. Schell truly cares about your grade and whether or not you're understanding the concepts. Never have I had a teacher get so involved with his students.
Great course, I'd recommend taking it. Great change of pace from the typical college course.

I am not a business major, but I had to have this course. On the first day, I just knew I was going to hate it because he was very vague and there was clearly no organization to his class at all. Long story short, I ended up loving his class. The work is not demanding at all. Most classes consist of role playing business-type situations (which are so much fun and very interesting) and chatting about it afterwards and sometimes writing 2-3 sentences of your opinion from the scenario acted out in class. He encourages class involvement and he is very easy to talk with. He considers all of his students collegues and he will work with you if you have to miss or leave class early. Krist is a great teacher and I love his teaching style. You better have a good memory though because the scenarios are very detailed and too fast played to take notes. You will not regret taking Krist, unless you're not a faithful class attender. GO TO CLASS

Schell is definitely something i've never experienced... He does a lot of scenarios and makes you think out of the box like you never have before. He really cares about his students. Overall He's a good teacher, take him if you have the chance.

Mr. Schell is the best teacher I have had at WKU. He cares about his students so much and will do anything to help them. The structure of class is different than most. You don't take notes really, but it is very interactive and he pushes you to think and give opinions. You will be called on and will talk in this class, but it is fun the way he has different scenarios. You don't really know your grade during the semester, but 30% is participation. Definitely take Schell, he is fantastic!

Schell is by far the worst teacher I have ever had In college. His class consist of manager mayhem moments which are situations where he chooses people in class to act out. Then the rest of the class is discussion time. He does not teach at all, you pretty much have to teach yourself. He takes forever to grade so you never really know what your grade is in the class. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. If your taking mgt. 210, don't take Schell.

Rule #1. DONT BUT THE BOOK.. you really dont need it. The class is comprised of in-front-of-the-class crazy scenarios that he will pull you into, but nonetheless it is a fun class. He makes sure that you know all of your classmate's names and he wants to refer to everyone as collegues, like our class meetings are real meetings. I really like his teaching technique, because he makes the class engaging and interesting. Speaking up in class disscussions is important! Overall, I would say that he honestly cares about you as a PERSON and not just as a student who will come and go. Tests are all essay, but honestly you can do it. Two thumbs up to Schell.

I learned absolutely nothing from Schell. He just wants to do role play every class period which sometimes is beneficial but alot of the time it is not needed. He babbles on all semester about 3 pillars and social intelligence which nobody knows what the hell it is. The class is organizational management..I don't think I learned one beneficial thing from him. I feel like it was psych class...wtf does social intelligence have to do with myself being an organized manager. But your pretty much guarenteed an B or A thats why he has a yellow face and not red.

I took the honors version of this course and it was the best class I have taken so far. We actually didn't really have assignments or tests, but a lot of role-playing and practical applications. If you're not comfortable with getting up in front of everyone and acting out a scenario made up as soon as you enter, you might not want to take this class. However, I will say that honestly, I don't care what grade I actually get from this class because the other lessons learned are much more valuable. He also took us on a trip to Chicago. It was pretty sweet.

Krist is an awesome professor. Don't get this class if you are shy. You will have to go up in front of the class at least once in the semester.

I would recommend this class because it is really easy. All the tests are essay, but it's not right or wrong. As long as you argue your point then your answer will be correct. He wants you to open your mind and think. During class you discuss the chapter and do a lot of role playing which is fun.

Mr. Schell has a very enthusiastic personality. He cares more about what you get out of the class, than the actual grade. He gives open note tests in addtion to a review with exact test questions. There is no excuse for not getting an A. It is a super easy class. The only downfall is that he likes to randomly call on someone to be involved in a demonstration. But he only will call on someone once, and the class grows pretty close. The final is a small, easy presentation that you give the week before finals. I would definetly suggest taking this class.

schell has a very unique way of teaching. he likes to do skits to protray different scenarios you may encounter with as managers. so you pretty much will get called on the spot. some days he just goes over the chapter. he's just different.... teaching and personality wise. but the class is super easy. the test are open notes, and he gives you the questions beforehand. no real attendance policy. no notes whatsoever. 2 or 3 papers to write but he likes them to be 1 page max. so it's super easy, sometimes boring, sometimes nerve racking.

This may have been the worst class I have had here. Other people seemed to like Mr. Schell, but he got on my nerves so bad. I could not stand going to his class. At the end of the semester, I figured I would have an A since it was a pretty easy class, and I had mostly A's on my assignments. I got a B, and he really couldn't explain to me why. It was probably because half of the assignents were given letter grades, and the other half were given number grades. I'm not sure how you average a B and a 94 together, but somehow he managed to. If you don't mind a really annoying man, the class isn't too bad.
