Dr. Turner is hilarious and his class is a breeze. All (three) exams are fifty-question multiple choice tests on Scantron. They come from his PowerPoint notes (posted on Blackboard) and the textbook. There is an easy six-page paper and weekly quizzes/discussion board posts on Blackboard. You get bonus points on the exam if you miss fewer than four classes; there is no penalty for not attending. He had us read a book in addition to the textbook, but I just read the conclusion of each chapter and had no problems.
Study for each test a few hours the night before and you will do fine in this class. You are guaranteed a B if you go to class, stay on top of the weekly Blackboard stuff and do the paper. Read the textbook to bump your guaranteed grade up to an A.

This class is EXTREMELY boring. There are two teachers in this course, Turner and Lasley, so if you sign up with either teacher you'll get the same class. They don't put much effort into the class, and it can be difficult if you don't study carefully. They put tricky questions on the exams. I suggest you don't take Turner/Lasley because you'll end up stressing more than necessary. And trust me, you only need to go to discussion sections on Fridays. Lectures are pointless.

Great teacher, attendance isn't required by him he posts all of his powerpoints on blackboard and they pretty much cover everything you need to know. He makes the class very easy to follow and is pretty laid back, and willing to help if you need it. Enjoyed the class.

I loved this guy! He was a great teacher, got the main points in and understood not everyone was going to be a PS major so they didn't need to know every little thing. He makes the class interesting and all the test are multiple choice, not true false or short answers or essays. There are 4 quizzes with 5 questions each and that is it. Great class!

Prof. Turner is a really good professor, take him for all of his intro Poli Sci classes. He gives you his overheads online so its easy to follow along. Test are kind of hard sometimes, but i got a B on most of them. Really nice and funny guy.

I really liked Dr. Turner. He was really nice and very helpful if you ever had any questions. If you had problems on your test, you could make an appointment and go to his office and he would go over it question by question. He made the class fun and interesting.

He is a great guy, who really knows what he's talking about. His tests are multiple choice and short awnser, and there is a quiz every week. All you have to do is sign in every day and you get extra credit. There are other extra credit oppurtunities. I would definitely recommend him.
