This class was okay. There were a few assignments that were lengthy, but were very easy. Dr. Ralston made a few things and situations confusing, mostly through e*mail, yet overall, she is a pretty good instructor. The class is very easy. It just requires that you put forth a little effort and a moderate amount of time. Nothing in the class is difficult, just a bit time consuming. If you are willing to work and attend class... take Dr. Ralston... it's an easy A.

She is a kind woman. However, her lack of orginization is her downfall. Her notes are simple, as are her tests, but her directions in large projects are roundabout and in the end contradicting, making it impossible to produce what she wants. Lack of discretion in regards to personal remarks against students and other classes has been a noted issue from several people. She is willing to help, but often does not know how to articulate her thoughts in a productive manner. It is a cake course, but if you are looking for a proffessionally competent class, I would suggest others.

This was the teacher's first year teaching at Western and I have to admit, she was a little scatterbrained, but she turned out alright. She gives you plenty of oppurtunity to get points for simple assignments and she is willing to help a student in need.

Dr. Ralston was not very organized and was really bad at explaining assignments. She had to go over directions several different times because she kept changing them and confusing us. But if you're looking for an easy course, this is it. There is practically no notes. She types up notes for the chapters and posts them on Blackboard. There are a lot of little assignments for easy grades. But there is a lot of work that you have to do for your teachers portfolio. You have to do 15 hours of observations and a couple short papers. I had this class once a week. It was cake. Tests were really easy and she always does review and they are pretty straightforward. We usually got out early too. She was just really, really bad at explaining things that's why she got an ok score, otherwise it would've been a Good.
