Do not, do not, DO NOT take this teacher if at all possible. He does not know how to teach. He will be talking about something and be three slides behind. The textbook isn't chronological (seriously, what kind of textbook isn't chronological?) and instead of teaching chronologically he decides to follow the order of the books. He gives you fact after fact at a fast pace, not fast enough to get it down, and most of the stuff he says ISN'T on the powerpoint, and the little stuff that is by the time he gets to that slide he's talking about something completely different. He's a nice person. But he's a crappy teacher. Yes, he will tell you what the essays are going to be over if you ask before the test, but it's not worth the headache. Do yourself a major favor and take a different section, especially since the only section he teaches is 3 hours once a week at night. He teaches in a monotone. And he requires attendance. So most of us end up paying attention to anything but him because it's too hard to keep up. I'm usually an A student. I had a 3.98 in high school, and before this class I had a 3.65 at western. Take another teacher. You'll be happier if you do.

For starters the textbook being used isn't chronological, which is confusing, because it's history. He generally follows the pattern of the textbook which is just as confusing. On top of that in his lectures he's usually 3-4 slides behind which is even more confusing. I usually like night classes, but he bores me almost to sleep. I am also an honors student and generally make A's, even in classes that are essay-tests like this one and I love history. But this class is just too confusing. I would suggest taking a different teacher.

Even though his 3 hour night class is really boring, he is a great teacher and helps you pass his class. You take 2 quizzes, which he will tell you what that are over before if you ask, and a midterm and a final. It was an easy class minus the amount of notes you have to take. Seriously it doesn't get much easier to pass a class, I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
