Dr Atici, is a nice person but does not know how to teach at a Student level. She talks extremely fast and does not give you time to copy notes from the board before moving on to something else. She tries to cover too many chapters. Talked with other Trig instructors on Main Campus and Glasgow Campus and none of them covered as many chapters in one semester. When Dr. Atici is going over NEW sections she skips many steps and says you should know how to do this part, you can finish the problem yourself.
While she tries to assist you if you need help she can not seem to explain things for the undergrad student!! When told by several students she was talking too fast she slowed down for about 5 minutes and then went right back to her normal speed. If you are not strong in Math, I would highly recommend a different instructor. This should not have been a difficult course but she made it extremely stressful and hard. She is very knowledgeable in in her field but does not know how to communicate that at her students level.
If you don't want to stress yourself out, TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!!

Trigonometry is not an easy class. Dr. Atici makes this class bearable. She is from Turkey so she has an accent, but you will get use to it after the first week or two, and the material is not that hard to learn on your own anyway. She gives you a chance to earn up to 8 points on each test which really helps. She is a nice lady that really cares about her students and wants them to learn and be prepared for Calculus. I definately recommened Atici for any math class that you have to take!

Dr. Atici is a little hard to understand, but she tries really hard to make sure you understand whats going on. I did horrible on almost all the tests and quizzes, but got a B because of the homeworks and bonus points. I went to her office almost every morning before class and she never made me feel dumb or anything. She was always very helpful. You get like 30 extra points for not missing a day, so go everyday! I know its a 4 day a week class, and she never gives you a day off, but those thirty points help out a lot. She offers more than a 1,000 points so thats helpful in any class.

Take her! She is turkish, but it doesn't take long to get used to her accent. She's super duper easy, and explains everything so throughly, a bit too much for me. As long as you go to class you will be fine. There are quizzes every Friday, but it really helps you for the tests. You have homework every couple of weeks, but it's only like 10 questions or so, really easy. I'm not a GREAT math whiz, but this class was a piece of cake. Take herrrr!

She is a very nice teacher, if you have any questions you can go to her office and she will pretty much guide you through the whole problem. She assigns homework everyday, but she grades none of it. There is a quiz every week. I thought the quizzes were hard, but I never studied for them. I think I failed every one. But she gives a very helpful review sheet for each tests. If work this out you will do good on the test. There is extra-credit for each test, all you have to do is work out the problems from the review sheet on the board during the two days you review for each test.

This is the 2nd time taking this class, and let me just say, that Mrs. Atici is a much better teacher than the one I had. She teaches the material in a way that I understand it, and she's very helpful. If you have a question, you can just ask her. We have a quiz every week, but it is very helpful later for studying. Before every exam, she hands out a review sheet, and then we spend the 2 days before the exam solving each problem on the board. It is very helpful. I would advise you to take Mrs. Atici. Sometimes, her speech is hard to understand, but for the most part, you can understand her. So, I would recommend her for anyone.

She has an accent, but it does usually doesn't get in the way. If you are not good at math this is the teacher to take. She goes over examples many times and the homework answers can be checked in the back of the book. Also quizzes are open note, so if you need a good grade in math here's a good class to take.

This course was very easy, you do have to purchase the book in order to do the homework assignments. The only downfall to the class is that she lectures from beginning to end with a rare chance of getting out of class early. There are plenty assignments to help your grade out if you do find yourself struggling and she also offers help sessions. You don't really have to pay attention in class, just read the chapters because she goes straight out of the book. She will never call you out in class but if you do volunteer to do the problems on the board during the test review days you can earn up to six points towards your test grade. There is a math department mandatory attendance which is five absences, which isn't bad.

Dr. Atici's class was very easy! She gives you a quiz at least once a week but they are like two questions and you can work together with the other students. She is kind of hard to understand at first, but you get use to it. This class is very easy!!!

I would say the course is easy to moderate because the end of the course is about stats and probability. I've never been great at math, but this was the first class that I actually got the material and did very well on the tests. First math test I actually made an A on. She is a great teacher. She will add points to your test grade if you go to the board during review and solve the problem(s).

This class on the whole was easy and im really not a math person. There was only one chapter that was difficult. She is from Turkey so she has a bit of an accent, but you get used to it fast. She is a really nice teacher, but a little timid. If you come to her office and ask for help she will help you out with anything. The only bad thing about this class is the attendence rule. If you miss more than three unexcused absences then you automatically fail. I kno that on friday morning it sure was a pain to walk up the hill to that class!

Dr. Atici is an excellent teacher. She is very nice, and she goes over everything several times. Even though her accent may overwelm you at first, you should definitely stay in the class! Math is definitely not one of my best subjects, but Dr. Atici made this class relatively easy. I would recommend her to anyone.

Ferhan Atici is a great math teacher! Once you overcome her accent (literally, you won't notice it too badly after the first week) she is very easy to understand. She writes almost everything on the board and clearly explains steps over and over to make sure that she is coming across clear. Be sure to do your test reviews and volunteer to answer questions on the board b/c you get major extra credit! And don't miss a lot of days b/c 5% is added onto your grade if you don't miss a class. Lots of extra credit available and relatively easy (review style) tests. Group quizzes are easy!

This class is easy to do well in. There is graded homework from time to time, suggested homework, inclass quizzes, and tests. You can get extra credit added to your exam grade for doing board work in class, and by coming to class everyday. If you do miss class more than five times however, you will lose five points on your test grades!

Math in general is a tough subject for me, but Atici made this class much better. I thought the language barrier might be tough but it was no problem at all. She has been the best math teacher i've had at WKU so far. She explains the subject matter really well and goes slow enough for you to follow. I'd recommend her to anyone!

This class is pretty easy. She gives a lot of extra credit and really helps anyone who's having problems. The only thing I don't like are her tests, because she'll have one problem cost 12 points. Her accent may sometimes be a little hard to understand, but I've been able to make it. I think she's a wonderful professor, and if you have no mathematic requirement in your major, I suggest taking this class. Why take a hard class when you don't have to? :)

Dr. Atici teaches at a level where you WILL understand what is going on. She offers a lot of extra credit, and she takes attendence every day. The tests are predictable and managable. This class requires a moderate amount of time, and there are no suprises. I would definitely recommend her for 331.

The quizzes Dr. Atici gives you can use the notes and a partner for. Just come consistently, take notes, and you'll be guaranteed to make a good grade!

I love her, she is so sweet, and funny because alot of words she doesn't understand or know how to pronounce, but I don't mind because she tries her best. She has a help session that is actually really helpful, but you only have to go if you have an 18 or less in the math section of the ACT, but if you have trouble with math its helpful to go anyway. The class isn't that hard, the notes are really good, and she provides extra credit but you have to go to the board to solve problems during reveiw, and the final is cumulative. :) OVERALL she is really sweet and some people have a problem with her, but if you were in a foreign country teaching a bunch of bratty kids what would you do!!!!!!!

Dr. Atici is a very good instructor. She is a little hard to understand at first as she is from Turkey, but you learn to understand her. She gives chances to get extra credit. Her tests are well covered and homework is graded. There are ample opportunities to get a good grade in her class. TI-89 calculator is required.

Dr. Atici is a wonderful teacher. She clearly explains things and makes sure that everyone understands before she moves on. She gives chances for extra credit. She will clearly go over everything that will be on the test and there are no suprises or tricks on the tests. I highly recommend her if you have to take this course. I don't think there could be a better teacher for this subject.
