Professor Micheletti is a very intelligent woman and knows her stuff about children's literature. This class was very easy. There were two tests which were both take home. We had to do 30 reading journals that were relatively easy but took a lot of time. Pretty good class.

This class is online and not bad at all. Mrs. Micheletti gets back with you really fast and will answer any ?s you have. She is also always in the ERC and will help you find books for your reading journals. I def recommend her for LME 318, she is a sweet lady.

She was AWESOME! I loved the online course and it was extremely well organized and objectives were clear. She doesn't babysit you like a lot of professors so there are no reminders about upcoming due dates. For the summer online course you didn't need the book and only had several projects to do. GREAT A class.

I took this as an online course and it was extremly easy. The teacher is very helpful and she is quick at posting grades. You have to do a reading survey, two 15 book journal entries, a report on a classic childrens book, and an anotated bibliography. There are discussion boards, but they are simple. It is so easy and takes very little time. There is a lot of reading, but you can get each set of journal entries is two days easy if you try. I suggest taking it online and taking it with Micheletti. I have a friend that has the same online calss, but with a different teacher and her class is much more difficult, so make sure you take Micheletti.

I took this class online during winter term and it was extremely easy. The class consisted on 5 assignements and had no tests or quizzes. One was to mail in some survey about how much you read. Then there was a discussion board presentation. You had to do a reading journal. Online the journal only had to be 20 books (its usually 30 when you take it during fall/spring semsester). There was a 3 page paper on a children's writer. The final thing was an annotated thematic bibilography which basically consisted of 15 books and a lesson plan. The class was simple. The instructor seemed very nice and she was quick to grade and reply to e-mail messages. The class requires a lot of reading. I would reccommend taking the class online rather than a traditional classroom setting because its less time consuming.

Mrs. Micheletti works in the ERC, so she really knows her stuff about literature. Each class, we talk about a different subject, such as fantasy one day and fairy tales the next. Her "quizzes" are easy as long as you've come to class.
Lots of people in my class complained about it being a waste of time, but this class is a valuable resource for future teachers.
She has you do a reading journal of 30 books and the critical performance is an annotated bibliography of 15 books. This sounds like a lot, but as long as you get started early, you'll find that's more than enough time to get your things done.
A very interesting class and an easy A.
