I took the Online web section of this class, so it's hard to give the professor a true evaluation. But I can say that the blackboard for this web course is very well organized and easy to navigate, she is always sending constant reminders about when assignments and quizzes are due, and she provides excellent feedback on most of your assignments. She's also very quick to answer your emails and tries her best to answer all your questions. I can only imagine she's just as helpful in class.
However, if you like knowing exactly what you need to study, I don't suggest taking her web course. Her powerpoints are pretty vague and you have to basically take your own notes with just headliners as guides, which is why I listed "moderate" as the notes, because it really depends on you. The text book will have to be your best friend.
Tests are hard, but she gives a fairly nice curve, so don't worry too much when you see a low test score at first.

I am evaluating her due to her position at the Academic Advising Center. She talks down to everyone and makes you feel as if you aren't as good as she is. I have never been talked to by anyone the way she talked to me and the way I have seen her talk to other students and her employees. I think the center needs someone that can relate to students and make them feel good about coming to the center. I have stopped going there to study after the way she spoke to me.

Dr. B. is a wonderful teacher. She is by far, one the most, if not the most, friendly teacher at WKU. She strives to maintain a personal relationships with all of her students, which makes sense because the course is "Interpersonal Communications." Like other people have stated, the test/quiz questions are a bit ambiguous, but if you read the book and study your notes, you should be fine.

Dr. Bonaguro was great. Her class was very interesting and is more about learning about yourself than learning any factual information. Her tests are easy and she gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. You do have to write two big papers but they are over interesting topics and as long as you include everything she asks then you will do fine. I would recomend this class to anyone.

This class is very enjoyable, but the quizes will give you a hard time. If you read and prepare well, you should have no problem getting an A in the class. She gives you 2 papers to write and 1 oral presentation. Other than that, class is mainly a discussion of the reading. Dr. B is a very friendly teacher and loves teaching the class, so she finds new ways to make it interesting every day.

Doctor Bonaguro is not an easy teacher if that is what you are looking for. She knows the course material well and expects every individual in her class to know the material well. She is personable, available for conversation about any topic, never to busy for students, and, in my opinion, one of the best teachers at Western Kentucky University. You will learn meaningful, applicable information concerning Interpersonal Communication.
Quizzes are somewhat difficult, I averaged a C (however Quizzes are on Friday and all-you-can-drink specials occur on Thursday night) but papers are graded relatively easy. Follow the guidelines and you will do well in this class.
If you are in college to gain knowledge and apply it practically, take Doctor Bonaguro class regardless of your major.

"Dr.B" falls back on books, nothing more. If you dont mind a teacher saying," So and so said this and so and so said that.
" Then by all means take her. She is a know it all and even if you are correct she would tell the class that you are wrong. She is from New York so she is very loud. She thinks that she is funny and will make jokes that you will roll your eyes at. Also she will without a doubt interupt your speeches to tell you something unimportant. It is to bad that she is the only teacher that teaches this course.

I'd say that Dr. Boanguro is the most passionate professor I have ever encounteredat western. She forges a strong relationship with her classes and is very knowledgable about material. Some of her test questions are a little ambiguous, but that is comm in general. Overall she is tough but fair. I'd take her again.

I advise all of you in the Journalism Dept. to avoid this particular professor. Although this course isn't much more than common sense in the workplace, I can't say I enjoyed myself, or learned anything new. And, Dr. B apparently didn't get the memo that high school and the favortism that goes along with it is suposed to be over! So, unless you want to wonder whether or not your grade was given on the true merit of it or downsized because you weren't shoved up 'Dr. B's' posterior enough of the time, don't take this class!

I didn't enjoy this class AT ALL! I thought the time in our lives where our teachers had pets was long gone but "Dr. B" has proven me wrong! I had high expectations for this class at the beginning of the semester and if it had not been a requirement for my major I assure you all that I would have dropped it! I made a B in this class because I worked my butt off (although I am anxious to see what the 'pets' made if you all know what I mean...) and luckily I have had some communications classes in the past because I honestly don't think I learned anything new. But most of it's common sense...as far as professional dress, gestures, etc. But for all of you that are required to take this course just work hard on your interviews and presentations and you should be fine.

Dr. B is a really good professor, she knows her material and enjoys teaching the class. She does move at a rather fast pace and assumes you are going to keep up. If you talk to her (she prefers email or individual meetings) then she will gladly work on whatever the problem is. I went to her about how fast she was rushing things and she gladly slowed down. It is impossible to feel uncomfortable when giving speeches in her class because of how much she makes the class interact and learn about each other. There are 2 speeches, one group discussion and one interview. If you follow her guidelines then you will do fine. I highly recommend her.

Get ready for some hard work. Dr. B's course is a good one, and I'll almost say a fun one. Be prepared, as she hits the ground running and expects you to keep up.
The class isn't really that hard. Two speeches, a group discussion project (which is really awkward), and a job interview. She'll tell you what she expects content-wise, and she expects you to deliver.
Tests/textbook... You don't go over much of the text in class. You WILL be expected to know it on the test, so read up. Tests (both of them, no cumulative final) cover a lot of ground.
Dr. B runs a bit of a strict classroom; don't violate any common sense rules of courtesy. DO NOT enter the classroom if someone is giving a speech. In fact, just be on time and you don't have to worry about it. If you are disruptive in class (and yes, it still happens), she'll call you down in front of everyone if need be. If you sleep during class (or even look like it), you are counted absent. When someone is speaking, you are to pay attention.
She isn't a bad professor, but I've had better. She expects you to participate and contribute, and if you aren't inclined to do so then you'll feel really out of place. None of the work is very hard, but it is very time-consuming. I don't really know of any flaws in her teaching style; what kept her from getting a 'good' rating from me had more to do with my own personal likes and dislikes.
