Mr.Robertson is really nice. His course is not hard. You have 2 speeches and then one group speech. I got a C because I did not study that hard for the final. He grades really fair on the speeches. His test are not that hard if you study. Definitly take him

Mr. Robertson was an awesome teacher! When you gave a speech he wanted to make you as comfortable as possible. For people like myself who absolutly hate talking infront of a group of people Mr.Robertson tries to make you more comfortable. He explains the material throughly and his tests are extremely easy as long as you study your notes!

This is an easy class in the form of showing up and not generally being bored out of your mind, but course-wise, I think it was very difficult. If you like to give speeches, deal with an extremely unorganized teacher, and work in groups, this is the class for you.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of giving speeches, especially not when they're "business presentations" and you have to stick to strict scoring criteria. You give a total of three speeches, two on your own, and one in a group project. They're not hard, but his scoring can be somewhat irritating.
He's a nice guy, just not the best teacher, and the fact that he's VERY unorganized can get annoying. You really have to show up to his class, otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on the next time, and neither will he.
I'd suggest taking someone else, but I don't know if there are really any other good speech teachers. If you're outgoing and want a class that's not so uptight, I'd take Robertson. Otherwise, you might want to take your chances with someone else.

Robertson is a nice guy and he is interesting, but he is very disorganized. If you need structure in your classes I suggest that you do not take him, otherwise I would suggest taking him b/c it is an interesting class. You only have to give 3 presentations and one of those is a group presentation. This class is easy for the most part but you do have to give speeches and that is an obstacle.

This class was awesome. I would recommend Dr. Robertson to anybody. This class was probably the easiest class I had this semester. There are not many grade opportunities in this class but the few that are offerred are easy. There is one test and the final, 2 speeches, and a report. He gives you plenty of time to get everything prepared and done. He also helps you to understand what he is trying to teach. It is a very easy class with a wonderful professor.

ED Robertson is such an awesome teacher! He is really funny and makes communication a cool, fun, and enjoyable class! He's a human being just like all of us and occasionally is late for class, and doesnt really care if you attend regularly...but you should for your own good. One day we had class outside because it was such a sunny day...he just thought it would be nice for a change! He's one of my favorite teachers here at WKU...I would without a doubt reccomend him to EvErYoNe!!!!

I loved this class so much and that was because he is such a good teacher. He makes class so much fun and he is so funny. He treats his students so good and he is very easy with his grading on speeches. Even if you don't like speaking in front of others, you will still love this class. He is one of the best teachers that i have taken at WKU and if you take it, you won't regret it.

Mr. Robertson is a very nice man. The class was interesting. You only have to give 2 speeches and 1 interview. The only thing I did not like is he did not really keep up with grades too well. I enjoyed the class though.

For a communication professor his skills are lacking. Your grade rides on three main speeches an interview, persuasive, and informative speech. For each speech there are 10 criteria to follow and each are worth 1 point. If you do not preform the criteria to his satisfaction you are deducted points ranging from a .7, then .5, then .3, and finally 0. If by chance you make one mistake you lose 3 whole points. So if you end up with a 8.1 on a speech that means you have an 81%. So, as you can see his grading scale is set up in such a way that inorder to obtain an A one must make very few or no mistakes. Overall I believe that he is not successful in his choosen profession. TAKE THIS CLASS WITH ANOTHER PROFESSOR!

Mr Robertson is a friendly professor, but is a definite introvert. He's sometimes hard to get ahold of when you need him. Also, I disliked the grading methods. The grades on the speeches and interviews seemed very arbitrary, even though there were given requirements. He was also very slow in getting the grades to the students. Emphasis is placed more on leadership and communication styles rather than speaking to an audience.

Mr. Robertson is GREAT! He used to work for FedEx with their communications department and is great at explaining things to help you understand. ALSO, if ONE person in the class didn't understand something and misses it on a test and it hurts their grade he will automatically give the whole class bonus points b/c he "didn't teach the lesson well enough for everyone to grasp it." There are only 2 tests and sometimes quizzes (rarely). At the end of the semester all you do is listen to speeches. Take Mr. Robertson if AT ALL possible. He's a great teacher and overall person.

This class is difficult but Professor Robertson makes it fun to be in. You sit down and you don't have to look at your watch and hope it's time to go. There is a fair amount of reading, but with the group work and the activities, the class is definately worth it. I recomend it over Public Speaking.

Mr. Robertson is an excellent professor to take for this class. He has a lot of "real world" experience and makes it relevant for you. You only have to make two speeches and the whole class grades you which brings up your grade. Makes a very dreaded class actually enjoyable.

Mr. Robertson is the kind of Communications teacher you want because he used to be the head of communications for Fed Ex. He knows his stuff and is very fair. He knows that most people HATE public speaking and tries to make it as painless as possible.
