Dr. Wu is a difficult teacher, but he teaches the material pretty well. He is fairly interesting to listen to in class. He was in his office during his office hours every time I went to see him, which was a fair amount. His tests are hard, the material is hard. With hard work a good grade is possible, and you will know the material well. I am not a math ace, some of my classmates slept through class and made A's. I'm sure some of them failed too.

Dr. Wu is ok. I didnt like his teaching methods at ALL! He has an accent. If you miss more then 2 of his classes without an excuse he will fail you. His tests are crazy hard!!!! You have a quiz every week. He dropped our lowest test score and 2 lowest quiz scores, if it wasnt for that I would have made a D and Im good in math. Um I wouldnt advise taking him if there was another professor you could take....but if it is a have to situation, it wouldnt be that bad if you work hard.

im not very good at math but he simplified it well enough that i pulled out a b. go to class because if you miss more than two he fails you. the weekly quizzes are easy and thats why i pulled out a b because i thought his tests were difficult but again i suck at math.

Dr. Wu is a great teacher and works to explain the material very well, however if you dont already have a background in calculus, you are going to have to study alot to keep up. He covers everything in class however some of his techniques take some getting use to. He is ALWAYS willing to help and has an "open door" policy. This class isn't that hard if you put in the time.

I'm sure there are better professors out there for Math, but I liked Mr. Wu. He is a Chinese man and at first his accent took a couple of classes to get used to, but it wasn't that bad. He gives you your homework assignment on Tuesday and it isn't due again until the next Tuesday. You also have online homework assignments from Math XL. There are 3 tests worth 100 points each and the Final is worth 150 points. He lets you use a cheat sheet on each of the tests, which is a 1-sided piece of paper like you would put in your printer, and I thought that was pretty awesome. You can put anything you want on the paper. Overall, it was not the easiest Math class you could take and I worked for my A, but I am glad I took Mr. Wu he is very nice and willing to help!!

Di Wu is Chinese in case you didn't get that from the name, but he is really nice. He can speak english you just have to get used to his accent. He is really funny and wants the entire class to understand before he moves on so that's beneficial. I got a little upset at first because he was moving so fast and I couldn't really understand him but after a couple weeks it got a lot easier to understand him and slows down. He will help you at anytime just e-mail him or go to his office. The best part about Mr. Wu is he lets you us a formula sheet on the tests so if Math isn't your strongest subject I would definately recommend Di Wu!!

Di Wu is an okay teacher, he expects you to come to his office for everything no matter what and he doesn't explain much any differently than he would normally in class. The book is required for the course due to having homework due each Tuesday for class. You don't need to bring the book to class because your notes come straight from the book, each example, theorem and so on. I didn't even use the book to study for the final, I sold it back on the first day considering your notebook is the book just in your own handwriting. I wouldn't take this guy unless you had to. Good luck!
