KEEP YOUR QUIZZES!!! because at the end your final is basically allthe quizzes put together. This class is HUGE, but the way he teaches makes it all worth it. Plus, he gives extra credit and takes off your 2 lowest quizzes. TAKE HIM!!!

Dr. Wilson is a great professor, and is knowledgeable in Economics. He's also a funny guy, his humor may not be for everyone but he just does it to keep your attention.
He does 7 quizzes, drops the lowest, and a final. That's it. I highly recommend him if you want a good grade.

I took his Microeconomics in spring semester. They course was easy overall but I didn't post anything here because I had nothing to compare with because it was my first semester. Now I'm taking macroeconomics with a different instructor. Wilson is awesome teacher I must say. His explanations were very easy to understand and he gave perfect examples. The attendance wasn't required. He jokes around a lot what makes class easy to sit thru and his tests have only 19 multiple choice questions. That means you can score over 100 if you answer everything right. The book was required but exams are based mainly on his notes. I didn't have to study for his exams once. If you pay attention in class and take some notes you will be good. Overall he was a greaet prof and I would reccomend everybody to take it with him. The classroom is big but he still will answer all of your questions.

I really have enjoyed Dr.WIlson as my econ professor. He is hilarious and keeps the class entertaining. You have 6 short multiple choice quizzes and a cumulative final. I recommend him for anyone who is taking this class!

He is not meant to be an instructor. I don't know why WKU take such professors who don't even know what they teach and how to teach.

He is a pretty good teacher. He in my opionion really knows the subject area. But you have to be willing to put the time into study. Its not one of those classes where if you show up sometimes you get a B. He builds on the previous day every class, so attendance is key

This class would be effective if not in a lecture hall with 150+ students. Dr. Wilson has no compassion for students who need assistance, he is egotistical and is completely consumed in his own "humor" that he brings to the class. He is crude and makes jokes about many things; most of his lectures are riddled with profanity. He tries extremely hard to be 'cool'. He is stuck in his glorious college days and refuses to grow up and act his age. I have emailed him two separate times in the semester, he replied to one with not even a complete sentence. He has his favorites (usually the ones who joke with him about beer and girls) and others are basically thrown under the bus. His quizzes contain questions that are not straight from the notes, they are mostly application questions that have multiple possible answers, most often the one that seems the least logical is the one that is correct. In other words, you have to be able to read his mind to get these questions right. If you are taking Econ 202 for your major or if you are just a good student, do not take this class.

Ok, well I am not Dennis Wilson and I am still giving him a rave review. I don't know what everyone's problem is that gave him a bad review and says that he made his own reviews. Dr. Wilson knows that most students don't find econ interesting and says so, but tries to make topics as interesting as possible. I think he is hilarious. His quizzes ARE difficult, but he curves all of them. The only way you can do bad in this class is if you completely don't care/study or don't come to class because his quizzes are literally STRAIGHT from his notes..mostly definition and some concept questions.

I think Wilson is a great teacher and you should definitely take him. He is a fun guy, nice, understanding and always willing to help you with your problems. The class is not too difficult for me because I'm an Econ major and most of the stuff he talks about I've already learned in other classes (like ECON 202). It might be a bit tough but if you go to class everyday, and do your homework, you should be fine. I like his lectures and the way he explains think. He has good sense of humors, and never bores you to sleep in class. He curves the grade so you'll end up with better grade than you might afraid about. I do recommend this teacher!

Wilson has some knowledge on Economics but really struggles to teach it. His notes have nothing to do with what is on the quiz. He goes on a ego trip every class period. He makes his quizes and exams much more harder than they should be. Take someone else.

He jumps around with the material when he is teaching which is confusing. If he would actually stop trying to be funny by making smart jokes and teach, I would have cared more about the class. You have homework a couple times between the 3 exams. He encourages you to work together on it. Don't bother asking him for help. He says as long as you know the material you will be fine.
Take someone else if you can.

Dr. Wilson's class was very interesting and he made it fun and easy to learn. I don't know why he has so many bad reviews on here because I thought he was one of the best teachers I have had so far. He was always willing to help with homework and would always answer questions in class. The first test was pretty difficult and the second wasn't as bad and the final is probably the easiest one of all. He does curve them and there was a 15 point built in curve on the homework. If you go to class and pay attention you should be fine. If you don't understand its not because he is a bad teacher. He is one of the best teachers Ive had so far.

All i can tell you is he THINKS he is smart. He thinks he is so smart that he can write reviews about himself and thinks no one will know. I'm 100 percent positive that all but one green feedback is from him. just read them and you can tell. He is a VERY biased teacher. PLEASE PLEASE dont take him. you will be upset if you believe the crap he wrote on here and take his class. he picks on the quiet students and hates on the ones who participate. He even cussed out one of my friends. thats a FACT!. if he really is from texas and played rugby and thinks he's bad, he can meet me at the new car wash across from the new wal mart. be there AUG.18 at 7 pm. id love to see him teach with a black eye!!! This class was so hard and none of the notes he gave made any sense. When people would ask where it was in the book so they could better try to understand what was going on, he would never know where in the book it would be. As the course went along he gave less and less notes yet the test sizes stayed the same. So no one ever really knew what the test would be over. Class made no sense.

The only reason I got a C in the class is b/c I didn't apply my self. Dr. Wilson can be a fun guy to have for Macro, he'll start telling the class a story that doesn't really have a point but to be funny and waist time. He gives examples with current events to help us understand something that's confusing. If you want some character from your professor, take Dr. Wilson.

I had Wilson for both Micro and Macro and he was a really great prof. He knows alot about econ and makes a ton of jokes in between lectures. He has taught at alot of school and doesnt take crap from people. Attendance is not mandartory but he kinda knows is u have been there and will give a quiz/extra credit from time to time. Go to class and take notes rather than getting them from website because it ends up being a lot less information- if u have to take econ i would take him

Dr. Wilson is a very smart man and is full of knowledge, but a lot of it is useless to the average person. He is on an ego power trip and thinks he knows everything there is to know about Economics. He posts all of his lecture notes online, which usually consist of about, on average, 10-15 pages of notes, per lecture (one day…). This is information overload. Then he crams about 6 lectures onto a test that consist of about 20 multiple choice question and 2 essays. You have 2 tests and the final, partially cumulative. He says he curves the tests, but everyone in our class was shocked when he told us he did. After the first test, as you walked out of the room, you heard a chorus of choice words being said in reference to grades. My opinion: Find someone else to take Econ with. Don’t suffer through this class like I did, and end up having to take it over with someone else.

The only good review this guy has so far was written by him. If you read the other two first, which were written before. Then the green face one you can tell it was written in response by the teacher which is a tool bag. dont take him. class is hard and he does not respond to emails. And dont ask him for anything outside of class/emails because he acts like he doesnt have time for you/or he'll act like your asking for too much. He is a bum as far as help and explaining goes.MEAN, LAZY. Boring. Sums him up best. He picks on girls/quiet students. Calls you out during class and will get all the attention on you and Fu*ks with you forever. Talk up and he'll be afraid to call on you thinking you'll call him out and make him look stupid. Which is easy to do and he gets PISSED!! ITs hilarious... he's full of pride. Prob. got picked on in school and tries to takes it out on his students now. GET OUT

Dr. Wilson is a smart guy and he knows what he wants to teach and what he expects his students to learn. As such, his class is very informative. He doesn't take much crap from students, so clowns and slackers should look elsewhere. He posts all the notes you will ever need on his website so don't buy the book, just print the notes before class. Exams are predictable; not too hard, and he curves them so if you are pretty familiar with those notes you will get an "A."

OK. First off, if you can get out...otherwise he will make fun of you the entire class. He picks on people randomly throughout the smemster and asks them questions and if you don't know, he will make fun of you. But if you give him shit back, he hates it! he turns red..actually pretty funny. He has a nose that looks like a mouse or something. Anyway, attendence is not required and he posts all his notes on his website www.wku.edu/denniswilson but sometimes in class he will go over more material. It may sound easy but his tests are hard. He usually curves them but you have to go to his office and ask question in order to get the curve on the final. he does tell lame jokes but just like the other guys, if you have hm give him shit!!

Dennis Wilson is on a Texas powertrip. He thinks he is funny and cool since he is under 40 years old. Class is hard. He is gay..what more is there? If you take this class please give him hell. He likes to pick on students, but does not like to take it. THE ONLY GOOD THING..he puts notes online. Besides that dont take this tool.
