Ms. Martin has to be the WORST professor I have ever encountered. She was incredibly unprofessional throughout the entire course. I joined the web class late due to an illness, and she refused to allow me to make up assignments that were already past due. She then insulted me and assaulted my integrity on a personal level. To make matters worse, at the last minute, she decided not to give the final exam. Being able to take the final would have raised my grade by one letter at least.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!

I had this class on-line and by far the worst teacher I have ever had. She was very scatter-brained and did not reply to emails. She graded easy at first but towards the end of the semester graded very hard. She often lost papers too.
I definitely reccommend taking someone else!

This has to be the easiest class I have ever taken. I took it online during the summer and it was an absolute breeze. We didn't even have to do a term paper! All we had to do was an essay of introduction, a 3-5 sentence summary of a chart, write a thesis statement, write a researchable question, format a bibliography in MLA format, do an annotated bibliography, and then a PowerPoint presentation over any topic within certain parts of the textbook. Definitely an easy A if you want ENG 300 credit.

I took Ms. Martin's class as a summer web course. I was a little scared to take her based on her previous evaluations. BUT I'm sooooo glad I decided to stick with it. She was always really sweet, the assignments were CAKE, she responded to e-mails quickly, and didn't grade hard. I would definitely recommend taking Ms. Martin's online Eng. 300 course to anyone. No final paper and no final test..... EASY A!!!!!

This woman is a liar. She promised to read my essay, and then did not, she also promised to change my grade. I waited for 2 semesters, she kept on saying that she would change my grade, when I got the English head involved, she recanted her promise and said that I wrote the wrong kind of paper. She will never return your e-mails or phone calls. From other students that have had her, they pretty much say the same thing. She litteraly thinks that she is God's gift to the world of English... Do not take her if you want to keep your GPA up!!!!

This lady will not teach you much; she canceled class about as much as she had it (seriously); and she rarely assigns readings. When we did go to class, we just "discussed" what we had read for about 30 minutes, and then she'd explain it. We watched "othello" the movie which made it pointless to read it. The tests were take-home... two weeks in which to complete them. She taught at a high school in BG and was late to class every wednesday. If you don't care about literature and think that it will never have any bearing upon your future, take this lady; it is a cupcake class. If you are interested in lit, then, by all means, take someone else.

Mrs. Martin was a completely awesome teacher. She cancelled class alot, gave us little-if any reading assignments. hardly any writing to do. The test are essays, but they are only 2-3 pages long over something she assigned for you to read, and she usually gives u plenty of time to write. too bad for me she doesnt teach a 300 course next semester. -al-

Mrs. Martin is a teacher that is very hard to understand. She was unclear about her assinments, papers, and readings from day 1. You never know what is due or when it is due. she talks about things that aren't even related to the class at all, and it is very confusing. I would not recommend her to anyone.

i had ms. martin for night class. the class was enjoyable for a while because ms. martin was extremely laid back with very little homework and no quizzes or tests. Papers were very short and easy, with pretty open topics. we only wrote 6-7 papers total, none being more than 3-4 pages. class was let out after an hour and a half, and was canceled at least once a month. However, ms. martin was extremely unorganized and lost two of my papers as well as some other student's papers with out taking the blame on herself. she can also have a bit of an attidude with students. if you take this class be sure to keep extra copies of your paper with you to argue a case, as well as proof of your e-mail assignments.

Denishia Martin may be as sweet as sugar, but she's also a bit too impractical for this sort of thing. Don't expect to learn much. She chooses to teach this class thematically as opposed to historically which hinders the student's understanding of the social implications of every piece evaluated and instead expounds meaningless drivel on the nature of such static universals as love, hope, blah, blah, blah. She also has a tendency of either babying her students or exploding on them violently. I mean, sure, she does have good intentions, but seriously... taking someone else would be a fabulous idea.
