Biles is an amazing prof and makes calculus very interesting. I'm bad at math but I did very well in this class. He even gives up to 5% (added to your final grade!) of extra credit. Really nice guy.

Biles is a great teacher and pretty funny. He teaches very well and at a good pace. I don't like math at all, but I did real well in this class. There was no homework, only a few take home tests and the in-class tests were not the difficult. If you take math 109, take Biles.

Dr. Biles is Great! He is very understanding if you do have to miss class. He will work with you so that you get the grade you want. There are many extra credit chances.. He ask for problems from the homework to be worked and you can volunteer to work them and you get extra credit. 3 visits to the board are graded though. No big deal. He gives great reviews and review sheets before tests. He also adds 2 points to your final grade if you have perfect attedance. There is not reason someone should make below a B in this class... He will go the extra mile if you will!!!!

Dr Biles is a Great Math professor. And when you get into the statistics part, make a tally list of the times he giggles for no reason. He makes his self chuckle every class. So there were several of us that kept tally every class period. The chuckles I recorded was 42. Believe it, and that was just in 50 minutes. But he is a Great Math professor really, he will not move on until you understand, BUT you might want to ask questions. You are required to go up to the board 4 times in the semester to work HW problems. And then if you go up there more than 4 times you get 1 % point added to your final average. You can gp up to a max 8 times. Dont wait until the last week of class though!

Dr. Biles is a very nice Christian man who knows his stuff and tries his best to make class interesting. Tests make up 60% of the grade and the final is an additional 20%. These exams have review guides, the first three have problems for 10% more of the grade. All of these are straightforward and over the stuff done in class. The final 10% is over homework problems done on the board-just three. Over that, and its extra credit. This class was somewhat nice to try to gain a liking for math. The financial section was somewhat hard, but he understands and pulled us through. He tries to relate with stories and made this class neat.

Dr. Biles, was one of the best professors I've had hear at Western. He is very smart when it comes to math and he knows how to help. It gives practically no homework, and you don't even have to do what he gives. Their aren't any surprises on the tests and he always tells you what is on them. Take him if you are taking 126

Dr. Biles is the sweetest man! He is great at explaining the material and he is always available for help. He is a very understanding man. His test are easy; they are very similar to the take home homework that you have before EVERY test. He likes for ppl to give input in his class and he loves questions. He also takes attendance each day...and u are only allowed to miss one day to recieve full attendance credit. U have to go up to the board 3-4 times thru out the year to work a problem from ur hw.

Dr. Biles was a very good teacher. He helped you out whenever you needed the help, he explained things very well, and he even had these meaningless, yet funny, stories he told. The grades consisted mainly of tests, take-home tests, and going to the board 4 times throughout the year. I even graded for his 203 class, and he is great about giving partial credit. A MUST TAKE!!!!

This course is really basic. The only notes are example problems and you really don't even have to write those down if you don't want. There are three tests and three homework assignments that are pretty much the entire grade. He assigns practice problems but you aren't required to do them. You have to go to the board three times for a grade but everytime after three is 1% added to your final average.

Biles is a trip. He dresses really goofy and always has a weird story, but he's a real good teacher. He will go over things as many times as needed, and never has a mean word to say. The class is also pretty easy, especially if you have had upper level math in high school.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Biles. Believe it or not, he makes Calculus fun and easier to learn. He has a great sense of humor and he will help you whenever you need it. It would be great if Western had more teachers like him who care about their students and their well being like Dr. Biles.
