Prof Edwards may know Algebra, but when it comes to teaching the course, she is not capable. She is corrected by students, the class is extremely accelerated. Attendance means nothing, homework counts for only 1/7 of a grade. The main grade comes from 4 tests(3 and the Final). We had a chance to withdraw, but no test were administered and she couldn't give us a standing grades on homework nor a couple of 25 point quizzes that do not correspond with textbook versus her teaching. Even if you have a correct answer, but her steps required are missing one, you will NOT receive a correct answer. Trying to talk to her outside of class is futile, there is no extra credit. Highly recommend seeking another teacher. Had previous Math 096 Fall Semester, my GPA was 3.73, current semester is shot, 3-A's, 1-B, and this class a F. If you can not escape having her as a teacher, I recommend you hire a private tutor, or only take if you had Calculus with an A grade in High School.

Constance Edwards is simply a horrble teacher. Her math techniques are horrible also.Honestly i just think shes too old and needs to give it up. And she ALWAYS gets her own example problems wrong. The students corrected her on her mistakes PLENTY of times, i was kind of embarrasing.She doesnt explain ANYTHING!! She just writes on the board and moves to the next section. Homework is on mymathlab and you really dont learn nothing, just keep guessing and you will eventually get the problems right. She frequently gives quizzes that suck, and tests that are even worse. She also DOESNT keep up with grades. Several students asked how they where doing in the class, and she told us how to calculate our own grades. What teacher doesnt have grades posted on the blackboard or atleast on hand somewhere. DO NOT get Edwards, it will be the worst math experience ever

She does not explain things very well, the notes she gives us conflict with the homework assigned. We get no reviews for the tests and quizzes. The test and quizzes do not correlate with the notes and online homework. She doesn't even grade the online homework, she only looks at the grade

She is an okay person, but a bad teacher. Every class she has to be corrected somewhere in her notes. A student shouldn't have to correct a teacher every class. Her test are hard and she doesn't explain her notes very well. Would NOT reccommend taking.

math 409 is an online course which shouldn't be overly difficult if were not for dr. edwards lack of teaching. the only grades for the class are the homework so she won't answer questions about the homework since that is your only grade. beyond that she has to be the pickiest professor i've ever had. each problem has to have the chapter-section.problem# beside it in the margin and must be submitted in exact order. if your file is not named according to her standards, ALL pages are correctly oriented in the file, or problems are labeled as above, she will take off points. she also takes forever to grade assignments. she has taken 2-3 weeks to grade every assignement we've turned in. if you can avoid taking her, do so.

This woman is the devil!!! She is a bitter old woman, who can't teach! Never in my life have I ever encountered a more terrible teacher!! She moves through material like a racehorse, and if you stop her to ask a question, she answers your question with another question and makes you feel dumb! Her main goal I think is to humilate you and ruin your perfect GPA! She ruined mine! She is rude and hateful, and don't even think about asking her for help outside of class! AVOID taking this class like the plague!!!

This semester I'm retaking it, along with half of my class from last semester and it is soooo much better! I have Travis Olson, and he is A-MAZING!!! Take him! He explains everything ten different ways, encourages discussion, participation, and group work, and his tests are just like the homework! I have a 98% in Olson's class, compared to the F that I got from Edwards! Olson=Math 211 God!

Dr. Edwards on the first day seems really nice. The second time you meet she seems mean. However it is just to scare off a few students. She really is a nice lady and truely wants you to succeed. If you don't understand something you need to go and talk with her. She will help you in any way that she can. Also if you go to her she will tell you what is going to be on the test. Last but not least the entire final comes completely from your tests that you have already taken and she goes over the tests so you have ever answer to the final sitting in front of you. She is very fair in grading because if you do bad on a test then do better on that section of the final she ups that test grade. I recieved an A in the class because I did exactly what I have said in this and nothing more. She does expect you to learn the material and she won't just answer any question because she wants you to think for yourself. Overall, I enjoyed her class and I would recommend taking her. Go and talk to her and get to know her. You will do great!

It would not be such a hard class if the teacher wasn't HORRIBLE!!!!!..She makes no sense what-so-ever and i dont think she has ever even taken a math class her self!..DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!

Dr. Edwards is not the best teacher for Math 211, If your a fast learner and like things fast paced you may like Edwards. I will admit though when I went up to her office just for one on one she acted totally different than when we were in class. I think if she see's you really care and want to learn she will be more helpful.

if you want to pass this class and aren't a genius at math then do no take her

Dr. Edwards is the worst teacher that I have ever encountered!! She went over material extremely fast and when you asked questions, she was rude and not very helpful. Her tests were pretty hard even if you studied a lot. I would not reccommend her at all. Take someone else!!

If you are looking for a teacher for next semester...DO NOT TAKE EDWARDS!

She doesn't explain things, she puts too much information on the tests, and she makes you feel stupid whenever you ask a question.

Take a good teacher- like Marchionda.

I thought this woman was a very good teacher; however, YOU HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS or she'll just assume you know the material. Grow some chestnuts and don't be afraid to ask silly questions...she's not the type that gets ticked for "stupid" questions. Make sure you don't mumble...her hearing didn't seem to be 100%.

She gives out Mock Tests that help in the real tests. The final WAS sadly cumulative, but it was straight from Mock Tests.

I am not sure if she did this for the final but she always added 10 points to your test grade...so you get a slight curve.

Quizzes are every week and aren't that difficult...she drops AT LEAST 2...

She's very helpful...go to class and take notes. She's the type that just works bunches of problems on the board...that method clicks for me...if it doesn't for you, ASK QUESTIONS.

I HIGHLY recommend her!
