If you can take another teacher, do so. You have a lab TA in this course but they do not teach it like the other Organic Chem lab teachers have them do. She will lecture for an hour before you even get in the lab and you cant understand a thing she says. She will not go over anything she teaches you how to do for lab reports such as % yield and will mark you off for every little thing even though she wont re-explain something. Really good teaching method, huh? Probably why they wont let her teach anything other than a lab. She specifically stated in our lab that you will not get a 100% on her lab reports (which you have to handwrite but that is for all O chem 2 labs) because you wont try as hard on the next one- so dont even think you will get a 100 on your reports if you take her. Her quizzes are RIDICULOUSLY hard. Even if you study for them. She often doesnt know what she is talking about. If there is a slot on TopNet with the teacher TBA i would avoid it because it will most likely be her. She is literally awful, I would not recommend her to ANYONE.

This class should not have been very difficult but this professor made it that way. Her english is very difficult to understand, which makes taking notes hard. And when you ask her a question she does not explain the answer very well, if at all, and about half the time she will just ignore your question completely and just smile and nod. This class DID NOT help prepare me for Chem 120 at all. I would NOT recommend this teacher to anyone.

This class doesnt seem like it would be that hard, but the teacher speaks poor english and sometimes doesnt understand the questions you are asking. There is online homework everyweek that isnt too bad but its only worth 10 points each time. There is a quiz before each test worth 25 points and the tests are worth 100 points. She does a poor job explaining her topics and doesnt answer questions well either. It is also quite hard to understand her sometimes/often. If she doesnt understand a question you are asking she will just change the subject or nod her head. I DO NOT suggest taking this profesor.
