USE TO BE A GOOD PROFESSOR FROM WHAT I HEAR BUT NOT ANY MORE. WESTERN'S NURSING PROGRAM IS HORRIBLE. THEY PURPOSELY WANT YOU TO FAIL. I DON'T SEE HOW SO MANY PEOPLE CAN BE SMART ENOUGH TO GET TO THEIR THIRD SEMESTER OF NURSING AND FAIL OUT COMPLETELY. THIS IS A REFLECTION OF THE TEACHING. YOU THINK WESTERN WOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM. WE PAY ALL THIS MONEY AND THEN THEY FAIL YOU. IT ISN'T BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SMART ENOUGH. YOU ARE ONLY AS SMART AS THE TEACHER TEACHING IT AND THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY TEACHING YOU NOTHING. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL BEFORE STARTING THIS PROGRAM AT WKU.

This class for me was easier than Med Surg I because the teacher is better and really does care about students. The class is hard, don't get me wrong, but definately do able. Don't freak yourself out about it. The tests for our class was every other week with a OB/PEDS test on alternate weeks instead of having a test every week in both classes like classes before us.

Audrey is a nice person and a great teacher. Her notes are better than notes you may get in Med Surg I and she explains things to you if you don't get something instead of getting mad at the class for not understanding a concept. Don't base Med-Surg II on Med Surg I!!!

The clinical is not as long as Med Surg I clinical. Mrs Cornell and Ms Stewart are AWESOME!!!!! I don't know that much about Mrs Stahl as a clinical instructor but I've heard mixed reviews. As a consensus from my class Greenview seems to be a bit slower than the Medical Center clinical students with Stahl but that's to be ecpected because it is a smaller hospital.

The case study will be much longer than the one in med-surg I so get started on it early. You have to include info on 2 Diag and it's effects on each system.

One other thing..... Mrs Cornell is also KANS director so you have good source for the low-down on KANS events.

Hard Class but great teacher
