Ariel is a really cool guy. He understands what it is like to be a student since he is one. He's very laid back and open. You will have 3 tests and a final which is just like a normal test. There is a possible 40 points extra credit and one health project (it's actually a paper about a behavior you want to change...super easy). There are a lot of speakers during the semester but I enjoyed them and make sure you go to class, esp. on speaker days, bc their lecture will be on the test. You get points for attendance too. It was an overall non stressful class and I actually learned something. I highly recommend this class!

I really recommend this teacher to anyone. As long as you come to class and pay attention moderately, you should do great.

Ariel is a great teacher he gives you oppritunity for lots of extra credit. Most of his test are perrty easy! They are 50 questions over a study guide he gives you if you study at all you will get an A you can also do extra credit if you don't do so well on the test. He is a great teacher! Take him if you have to take PH.

This class is a manditory class I think.Professor Sarmiento is really good at sending e-mails to you about class. He also sends notes for class through e-mail. You must read the chapters after he lectures over them. It will help a whole lot.If I had read the chapters I would have gotten an A. You get a whole lot of extra credit also. You will get 20 points at the end of the semester for being in class everyday and that helps a whole lot.

Ariel is one fun loving guy! He is a student teacher so he really understands the student's perspective. The book is required but I had it and didn't use it AT ALL!!! He emails you the notes so you don't have to do much writing. He has lots of speakers come in (which is good) and he has en excellent review session. If you build up lots of points, you don't have to go to class because you loose afew points for each absents. We spent like 3 or 4 weeks on SEX so it was um.. interesting.

Ariel was enthusiastic about health, which made most class lectures quite interesting. He gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit and you usually have one guest speaker a week (some were really good, others were not). Exams were pretty easy if you atleast listened in class, but questions can be kind of tricky so it would help to jot down a few notes and skim the chapters. Overall he's a pretty good instructor, he tends to play favorites sometimes...talking to some students and not others, but if that doesn't bother you then I would recommend him for just about any class he offers.

Ariel is one of the best teachers at WKU. He is enthusiastic about teaching and makes efforts to teach extremely well. He emails notes to you and you can count on a guest speaker at least once a week. there are numerous amounts of extra credit and he is extremely friendly. any assignments you are late to turn in he will allow you to just drop them into his mail box or you can just email them to him. It is impossible to fail the class as long as you just sign the roster sheet. NO HOMEWORK!!!
