Mrs. Anna Clayton is an overall pretty good teacher. She uses powerpoints for notes that go along with the book. Not everything from the book is covered in Powerpoints so it is a good idea to read the book because their are test questions from the book but the book is an easy read. She does offer extra with each test and some other random extra credit assignments. Because of the extra credit, I received a 100 on the second exam. She drops the lowest grade so due having a possible A going into the last exam, I will not need to take it. My grade is not specified because the course is not over but it very well should be an A. Good teacher, easy class if you study and/or read.

I wouldn't suggest this teacher to anyone. On the first day of class she acts pretty cool but from then on out she is completely booooring. She prints off power points and that's how she teaches. Clayton only reads from them. There are 4 tests which are multiple choice. You can pass them without studying but I would suggest studying because they are tricky. Personally, I would never take another class that she teaches, merely because it was a waste of my time and money. If you chose to take her, GOOD LUCK!

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (and chances are, because we're both at WKU, neither are you). But she was great about helping us. We are mediocre--you and I (or is it you and me? I don't no). But we aren't hopeless.

I thought that she was an ok teacher. She wasn't really the best because she couldn't always get her point across without sounding like she was reading it out of a textbook. Ont the brightside you didn't have to come to class all of the time because she provided notes via her internet website, but if you do attend class, you'll recieve extra points. Peace Out!!!

Anna is a really great teacher. I feel that she can still understand what it is like to be a student so she doesn't kill you with notes. All her notes are on a powerpoint presentation and they are on her website along with study guides for each test. She drops your lowest test score so if you are satisfied with your first 5 tests then you can skip the final. She also offers several extra credit oppurtunies like with each test and with on campus activities. Take her for psychology - you won't be disappointed.

This was one of the easier classes I took this semester but also felt that I learned something from it. Professor Clayton is always well-prepared for class and is very knowledgeable in her subject matter. She has Power Points that communicate the notes she lectures about in class and she posts them on her website where you can access them and print them off. She even puts a study guide up on her website before the tests which is basically where all of the questions for the test comes from.
You have six tests the entire semester over 2-3 chapters in the textbook and your lowest test grade is dropped (the first exam is mandatory by the way). This is pretty cool because if you get high scores on the first 5 exams that equal out to an A then you can skip the last exam and thus provide yourself with one less final exam to take. Furthermore, she gives you extra credit on the exams which can definitely help you by the end of the course. You are allowed two unexcused absences over the course of the semester and after that your grade gets penalized. Also, you have about three homework assignments during the semester but she gives you several weeks to do them, they aren't that difficult, and they aren't just busywork.
Here's the basic grading breakdown:
80% (five exams)
10% (homework)
10% (attendance and class participation)
Overall, I thought Professor Clayton was a very fun professor but I only had one complaint and that's that she isn't very energetic. She has a tendency to lecture for over an hour in a relatively monotone voice that put a lot of people to sleep in the class I was in. Nevertheless, if you take this class and pay attention as well as fill in the study guide she provides before the tests and study it for several hours then you can definitely make an A in here.
Recommended class.

Professor Clayton is young, very nice and interesting. Some find the subject of psychology hard, but in this class if you listen to the lectures and read over the powerpoints and a little in the book you will do fine. Attendence will earn you more points. She gives extra credit on all the exams and also extra credit outside of the exams. Her assignments are interesting and easy. You can drop your lowest test grade if you never miss one of the tests. The first test is mandatory. I reccommend her.

Professor Clayton is pretty good. She uses powerpoints for the whole course and you rarely need the book. She has 5 or 6 tests, and you can throw out the worst one. Her only problem is that she is kind of monotone and just stands in one place and talks the whole time. Alot of people fall asleep in her class because she doesn't really make the information fun. She just gives straight facts, but the tests are exactly from the powerpoints and very easy. They are 50 multiple choice questions and she always had an extra credit question which is very easy. I recommend her for her great teaching skills, but if you have a hard time staying awake, you'll end up taking a nap.

If you love monoton, inanimate, lecture you to death teachers, then this is the woman for you. she is young and stiff and loves her coffee. maybe if she got some once in a while she wouldnt be so boring. also she should try discussions and changing her tone of voice and moving around the room some. I did not know Western employed robots!

Her class wasn't too hard, if you know to study more than the night before the exams. She's very new, so it seemed as if she's experimenting with teaching.........other than that she's very down to earth and knows psychology, just maybe needs more teaching strategy. ALL lectures, hardly discussions unless you being up questions.
