I think Dr. Jerome is an awesome teacher. She's laid back and likes to joke around. There were about 5 speeches in this class, so you're usually starting your next outline as soon as you give a speech. No textbook is required and there are no tests, for the speeches are the exams in this class. She can be a little meticulous when grading the speeches, but if you pay attention and do what is asked of you on the grading rubrics, you'll do fine. I recommend taking Dr. J.

She is a horrible professor, she gossips about other faculty memebers and students to her classes, which may sound fun but she will do it to you to other students. She smiles to your face but will back stab you in a heart beat. She doesn't practice what she teaches. She is a horrible women and a horrible professor!

I am not going to lie, the class was intense. I took it as a freshman (the only freshman in the class full of juniors and seniors) and I really had to work to get a good grade in the class. You NEED to study for the tests! Dr. Jerome is open to helping anyone and answering any questions (as long as they have made some kind of effort in the class). There are a few extra credit opportunities and one major paper and presentation at the end of the semester. Dr. Jerome is really cool and laid back, if you respect her she will respect you. You will definitely understand ALL material by the end!

Dr. Jerome is a great professor and gets her point across even though she is very blunt and straight forward. You have 4 reflection papers over subjects covered in class, a 10 community service project, and a 8-10 page paper to write at the end of the semester about the community service project. You will take a lot of notes during class but they come in handy when you have a test review. You have to study in order to do well in this class, but if you fill out the study guide and pay attention in class then you will have no problem making an A or a B in this class. Overall, Dr. Jerome is great and I would recommend her to anyone.

Angie is a good teacher. She knows her stuff. However, if you can't handle the truth and like it sugar coated, don't take her. She is straight to the point and blunt, which is why I liked her. Her class is manatory attendance but you have to go to class to do well. Her notes are an overkill but they sort of have to be to get the concepts. 18 of 48 students made F's on the first test... SO YOU HAVE TO STUDY! If you don't you will fail. There are 2 tests and a final, 4 reflection papers, a 10 hour community service project and to write a 8 page paper about it. Getting an A is very obtainable if you study.

Angie is great. For me, this class was one of those where if I just showed up and took notes I did well. She assigns 4 reflections based on each section, and an 8 to 10 page paper based on 10 required hours of community service. It was a really easy class overall.

Dr. Jerome is a good teacher, but some of her methods aren't very effective. She presents the information in such a way that it makes it difficult to retrieve information for the exam. The exams are def. not "easy".. However, if you study, you should be okay. Close to 10 pple failed our first exam-there were 25 in the class. Take it if you need it! if you don't, then don't.

Angie is a really cool teacher! The class itself is pretty interesting. She gives her notes on powerpoint, but she does not post the notes on blackboard. Attendance is required. If a lot of people are missing, she may give activity points that day. There are extra credit opportunites worth 10 points. For each test she gives a study guide. Her tests are multiple choice, matching, and fill in the blank. The final is cumulative. For the final project, you are required to do 10 volunteer hours and write a 8-10 page paper applying 3 theories to the volunteer work. The class wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

This was a tough class--but it's supposed to be. Dr. Jerome is a wonderful professor- don't let her straightforward personality scare you. She knows her stuff and I have a lot of respect for her. There are 2 tests- midterm and final. The final is cumulative in that it covers the last half of the class. She gives study guides that tell you what concepts are on the tests- if you study them (a lot) you'll do well on the tests. The final project is a 12-16 page paper applying concepts learned in class to a specific company. She gives you a list of companies to choose from and you are allowed to have a partner to work with. Don't wait until the last minute to start, this is a big project worth a lot of points- it will impact your grade! Even though this is a hard class, Dr. Jerome makes the work worthwhile. You will learn a lot and you'll have fun doing it.

Jerome is a great teacher. She puts herself on the same level as students and provides a very laid back atmosphere. For a 400 level class, it's great. There are several small papers and 2 large tests but Jerome explains things very well and usually lets class out early if she completes all the material. There is also a group project that will be pretty easy points as well as a final project about 1 particular company. Jerome is definitely who I would recommend for this class.

She uses powerpoint most of the time, really it is just common sense stuff that we learned. We had to do 3 speeches, one was a group one. Sometimes she can have a lot of examples involving herself.
