Dr. Casana is a very good teacher! As a non-traditional student, it had been many years since I took Spanish in high school.
Dr. Casana offered to help us with our Spanish. He responds promptly to emails and gives extra credit. I enjoyed being in his class.

Mr. Casana is a great teacher. Spanish is not my best subject and the class was hard but if you show up everyday and show that your trying he will work with you to help you inprove. As long as you show up try and do all of your homework you should have no problem passing this class.

Professor Casana is amazing. He has an incredible grasp on the English language, and he communicates the material so well. He is kind, patient, and dedicated to teaching.
Class was always fun, too. He's a very funny guy, and he rounds grades very liberally, if he feels the student deserves a certain letter grade. I don't have to take 102, or I would most definitely be taking him over J-term for that class as well.
He made the material very comfortable and easy to learn; he offered extra credit for volunteering at the International Festival, and he makes himself readily available to help with any questions one might have. Easy A, and you will actually learn something.

He is a good teacher. I thought he went rather fast, but other than that he is pretty good. Definitely keep up in class though or you will get left behind. However, now that there is spanish lab it is easy to get a good grade. All the assignments on there you can take multiple times till you get a 100% unless it is a quiz or something which is rarely. He gives you a study guide for the midterm and the final. We did an oral exam you do with a partner that is a 2 minute conversation and is really easy.

If you try, you will pass. He is a nice guy who gets to know his students and wants you to do good. the homework is all online and you get multiple attempts for each assignment. you need the book but you can use the online version if you want to save money.

Good teacher. Easy to get a good grade if you try. There are 2 tests; a midterm and final and he gives you a study guide showing you exactly the format and whats on the test. There is a quiz about every Monday but it just helps you to stay on track in the class. On some quizzes he lets you use notecards for the last 30 seconds. Extra credit is avaliable on tests and there are a few other oppurtunties. You are allowed to miss 3 classes before he counts off, and he does take attendance every class. We almost always got out like 30 min early. Take this class for sure!

For those of you that need to take Elem. Spanish, Mr. Casana is a great teacher. He is willing to help you out and has a great sense of humor. You have to drive a distance to take his class in Brownsville, but it is well worth it.

Casana is from Peru and he's a little hard to understand sometimes. I think everybody in the class got an A or a B. You have to do a presentation over a country in there, it's an easy grade. All homeworks are 100 points as long as you turn them in. He gives a lot of quizzes and there is a lot of vocabulary to memorize. Other than that it isn't bad at all.
