To start, this class was super easy! There is only a final and a midterm, both of which are pretty simple. You also have to do three "teaches" (the first, everyone gets an A). You spend a good portion of the class in Preston practicing elementary-type physical activates. The textbook is NOT needed to pass this course with an A.
The only problem I have with this class was Dr. Ramos. He was very rude to his students and was very confusing. We often didn't know if he was joking or being serious. He was rude to me several times during the semester and would embarrass you in front of the class. I think it's strange that he is a doctorate in a field that works primarily with young students, yet he doesn't know how to work with students.
Overall, if you want an easy A and can ignore Dr. Ramos' attitude, I recommend this course. But if you clash with rude professors, you might want to opt out on Dr. Ramos.

Mr. Ramos is a good guy. His class is really easy and his tests are somewhat of a joke. There is only a midterm and a final. Since this is a "teaching" course, that's mainly what you do. There are a few small teaching assignments. You spend 3/4 of this class in Preston playing games. He does however expect you to learn how to be a good/effective teacher. He grades to help to you learn to do better. I really enjoyed this class and he even tells you at the beginning of the semester that everyone should get an A. I would DEFINITELY take him if you need this course! :)

Ramos is funny, but sometimes it is hard to tell if he is joking or being serious. He is a nice guy and does not grade hard. In his class there is a midterm and final which come from the stuff in the classroom that he talks about. Then you have to teach a PE lesson to your classmates which he allowed us to do in groups. This class was easy and you should take him!

Extremely ambiguous about what he wants. He seriously will barely tell you the material that will be on his test. There is only a midterm and a final and they are much harder than a PE 100 level class should be. He is very arrogant and quite controlling at times. Sure, he's nice, funny, and corny. But he definitely can get an attitude. I would take someone who is easier. He just didn't want people to not take his class seriously. It made him mad, so he made it hard.

Ramos isn't a bad guy at all but he is a bad professor. Sure he knows some things about being fit and healthy but he doesn't run his class that well. He only gave two tests and that weren't as easy as they should have been.
On the brightside the class requires little work and we never stayed for the full hour and twenty mins, it was usually more like forty. We went to Preston sometimes and did silly things to get us into exercising. I guess my biggest beef with this class was it annoyed me. It was a waste of my time and often dreaded going to class because I had better things to do. But what can you expect from a college health class that often makes you flash back to the stupid high school PE days??

Professor Ramos is a great teacher. He is a fun teachers and makes this class a blast. He has 2 test one mid-term and one final. The final is not cummulative. We are in Preston a lot doing activities and everyone has to teach one lesson plan. Its not that hard and fun. The notes we take in the classroom are easy and that is what he tests on. DONT BUY THE BOOK! He never used it. He says you need it and I bought it and then sold it back at the end of the semester with the plastic still on it! He gives you everything you need or will be tested on!

Even though this is PE, it's not like bowling or jogging. But it's still pretty easy. All of the notes are on powerpoint, and there aren't that many. The test are not hard at all! Most of it is common sense about physical activity and health. Mr. Ramos is such a funny guy. I actually enjoyed class because he always cracked jokes. I recommend this class if you want to get PE out of the way, and actually learn some things.

Dr. Ramos is a good guy, but he does expect a lot from you, even though the class is tennis. Don't show up late and don't miss, because it will affect your grade.

I had an A, but thought the class was okay. We took notes everyday;, and if you listened he would ask you questions that were going to be on the test. Its not a cake class. You have to study. But he's a nice guy.

Let me make one thing clear right off the bat. Ramos is a genuinely funny guy. He's very nice. One thing he isn't cut out to be is a professor.
His notes are jumbled, and he races through them. Quite often his written English makes tests and quizzes far more difficult then they should be. His guidelines for submitted work are EXTREMELY stringent. If you do not meet even one of his convoluted demands, you can rest assured that you will lose points. Honestly, he's likely just trying to make his course more significant than it actually is.
If you are overweight, do not take this class. He will make powerful physical demands, as well as mental ones. If you can't walk over a mile in fifteen minutes, just don't bother. Sign up for bowling or something.
This is not an easy A, and the only reason that is true is because Dr. Ramos wants his class to have the same academic clout as , say, Biology or Literature. It is easy to see through the facade, and very frustrating to endure.

I know what your thinking, this is PE how can it be hard? This class wasn't really hard, just frustrating. His notes were completely unorganized, and he was very random. He's a nice guy and knows what he's talking about, but I just didn't like the way he taught. There are only two tests-the mid-term and the final. He gives a lot of quizes. You will go to Preston some of the time and take notes in the classroom the rest of the time.

Professor Ramos is a pretty fun guy. All of his classes are on power point so you don't need to buy the book even if he says you do, you just copy all of the notes down - and if you don't feel like it, it's pretty much all common sense stuff anyways. You go out to the football field or to Preston on activity days. Just be really nice to him and laugh at his Puerto Rican jokes and you'll do fine
