I am an A student and took this course thinking it would be interesting. This instructor reads verbatum from her PowerPoint presentations in a monotone voice and says "you know" and "um" more than anyone could even count. When someone asks a question, she offers only vague answers or sometimes none at all. Outside of her presentations she has very little to offer. The tests are extremely difficult, almost impossible, as they are mostly trick questions. Her one redeeming quality is that she does curve the grades. I am not disgruntled; in fact, my grade is adequate. I simply want to warn anybody who thinks this class will be "interesting" that it will, in fact, bore you to tears. (She is easy on the eyes for the guys out there.) That alone may get you through the class. Other than that, it's a big thumbs down for Dr. Alison Elgart-Berry.
