This was my first on-line course and first course going back to college. I thought it was difficult, as I didn't understand the whole blackboard stuff. The teacher was great, and fair, I procrastinated and didn't get my work done on time so lost some points. The on-line stuff was great, but I think we should have had the opportunity to meet each other before the class started. Some students really talked a lot on-line and others hardly said anything. You are graded also on how much you say in the on-line chat. The course really helped me learn about who I am and gave me alternatives to career choices I had never thought about before. I highly recommend it to everyone. Mrs. Hanson even volunteered to meet us after the course was completed if we needed further help. She was available by phone and e-mail if we also had additional questions. I think the course should be a whole semester rather than 9 weeks.

I took the regular course, not the on-line one. On-line doesn't work for me. Time management is a plus to get the work done. You need to really delve into who you are. It is easy to try to procrastinate because you think you know all of the answers but, questioning who you are is sometimes difficult, the whole process was loads of fun. Finding out why I do what I do was really awesome. Now knowing my personality will help me in picking out a career. I sort of knew what I wanted to do and to see the careers I thought of come up was wild. I had a death in my family, and the prof worked with me to get my stuff done. She actually will make special time for each student for a personal interview if you request it.
