An excellent teacher, one of the best in the field! Only problem is that to get an A you must devote massive amounts of time to studying notes. He's a killer of a teacher if you have any other difficult classes. An hour and a half stuying is needed per day to keep an excellent grade. Huge amounts of reading for his 300 and 400 level courses. His Cold War and Russian classes are worth the extra work load.
