Additional Comments |
This class was very interesting and we had great discussions in class, but the tests were not constructed very well. Most tests covered two or three chapters plus a ton of notes from class. After studying all the material, we would take the tests and be shocked at the questions she asks. For example, over three chapters on domestic abuse, she would ask a statistic that was mentioned briefly in an entire paragraph of other stats. It was ridiculous and each tests was different so you did not know what to focus on. Shivel did let us use our book and notes for 15 minutes on test days, but with the picky questions it may take 15 minutes to find the answer. Loved the class and discussion, but the tests were terrible.
