IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR YOU ARE A FOOL! He is extremely laid back. He practically gives you the test at the review session (which is during class). He provides the notes. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed this professor...he's hillarious.

Austin is an awesome teacher!! I wish all teachers were like him. He really tries to help everyone out and he understands that you may have more important classes than his. You have to go to at least 2 concerts and then any other concerts you attend after that are extra credit. He gives us a review the day before the tests which are pretty much almost word for word on the test. He makes everything very interesting and he is a funny guy. I would suggest taking him over any other music teacher. It is almost impossible not to get an A in this class.

Austin is an awesome guy, and often gets off track telling jokes and stories....he reviews before his tests which are very easy, and you take some notes, but he always types them up and emails them to you......attendance isnt mandatory, but i suggest going to class, hes really funny so it is worth it sometimes......music app. is mandatory anyways so take this easy 2hr credit...

Mr. Austin loves to teach this class. He makes it very interesting. You have to study for the tests, but they are multiple choice and there are enough of them to get a good grade. There are no listening tests and you only have to go to 2 performances- more for extra credit. This was a good class.

Okay, this is bowling class. But I suggest if you take this that you take Austin. He was lenient on most things and it is not all about your average score and improvement. Most of your grade is attendance with a few quizzes and a little of your average and improvement. As long as you show up to class and participate you will do fine and Austin is just a great guy all around.

He is the easiest teacher I've ever had. I hardly ever went and got an A. He always emails you when you are going to have a quiz. All you have to do is go to class the day before the quiz or test and he reviews over everything you need to know. He is also very layed back. You won't regret taking him.

Mr. Austin is really easy going. The class is meant to be boring but its not him. There's no way to dislike this guy. He only wants you to love this music as much as he does and you can't fault the guy for that. The test are all about regurgitation( I like that word) and so just read your notes and you'll be fine. He told us we really don't need a book and as of yet I haven't cracked one open yet. (Could be cuz I never bought it). I do pretty ok on the tests with just my notes and moderate studying. You can cram and pass the test and he's trying to help you, so there are no trick questions. It's straightforward, no bull. Only way you can fail his class is if you try. Also, you can have a lot of extra credit, so take advantage if you choose to not come to class or slack off. Be prepared to listen to a lot of classical music and watch operas. I actually enjoy it. He's probably one of the easiest teachers you'll have so I recommend him.
