Actually, it's not "biased against". That's idiomatically stupid. It's "prejudiced against" and "biased for". Got that? Who's been teaching these kids composition?

He is biased--against stupid people. That's unfair. I am--like so many other students here--very stupid. And lazy; let's not forget lazy. Who is standing up for people like us? We are discriminated against every day because we are stupid and lazy. That's not fair. "All men are created equal"--that's what President Lincoln said in the first amendment.

I am embarrassed for WKU by the comments expressed above and which are critical of Dr. Kang. He is, without doubt, the smartest and most intellectual professor in the political science department, and all of the really good students know it. The problem is that there are a few goofballs who have modest abilities who take his class and want an A. But Dr. Kang teaches the course like a law school course and he rewards a combination of innate talent and dedication. Some students don't have the talent and they think that dedication alone will get them through--as if that's what being a lawyer is all about. I just hope that Dr. Kang doesn't read these comments and gets discouraged and decides to leave WKU. He is the best (the only?) good thing that the political science department has going for it.

The goofy complain that Dr. Kang is "biased against you" is being offered by morons who can't cut it. Hey, some of y'all are born smart and talented, some of y'all are born stooopid. And there's nothing that the good Lord can do about it. If you get a B, you deserve a B. If you get an A, you deserve an A. Dr. Kang calls them as he sees him. If you don't get an A, it 'cause you're a friggin' genius in waiting who is being overlooked; it's because you are born mediocre and stupid. Blame ma and pa, not Dr. Kang. He is an awesome teacher.

This Professor is definitely biased. If you make a good grade on your first assignment, keep the course. If your first grade is bad, it is because he does not like you. Be carefull. This guy is evil!

This is a good class. There's a lot of readings, most of the workload is outside of class, all tests are take home, and overall, it's designed for folks going to law school. However, it's not too hard and Dr. Kang is a riot! So, if you're mature enough to handle a class like this, take it.

One of the two best teachers I've had at WKU. Extremely intelligent individual who, I believe, has prepared me for law school more in two classes than in three years at Western Kentucky. You will leave this class a better overall student, particularly improved critical thinking.
Many individuals make A's in Kang's class, but the papers do take some time. Hypotheticals are proposed during class and group discussion about the hypothetical occurs. Your grade consists of three papers that are formed from Kang. Apply knowledge of the cases to the hypotheticals correctly and you will have an A.
Take this class no matter your major. You will be a better student.

Be afraid, very afraid. This class is full of very useful information; however, the professor has a biasness. What ever grade you recieve on your first paper will definately result as your overall grade. He will not improve your grade nor decrease your grade as the class progresses. If you are not content after your first paper grade, drop the class. You will have a total sum of three papers due for the course.

This class consists of 3 papers that you have to write. That's all, no BS homework, or notes. You have to study a case every night and then figure out why the Supreme Court decided why they did, then you must apply it to the 3 papers you write. The papers are hypothetical situations and this is where the knowledge of the cases comes in. Dr. Kang is a very intelligent and caring man, and was the most accessible teacher I had all semester. He does not act like a parent and make you finish your work in a matter of days, but he does, however, expect your best work. He's not big on deadlines, so you have plenty of time for each paper. There is no final, the third paper is considered the final. If you have patience and you're not just looking for a simple class to get by in, I reccomend this highly!

Dr. Kang is an excellent professor. I took a look at his resume and it was mindboggling. I am one of only 4 freshmen in this jr/sr dominated class, and it can be intimidating at times. Dr. Kang is very good about explaining things when they are not understood. If you take one of his classes, you will enjoy them all. Funny, nice guy

THis guy is a godsend to a formerly crumbling department. I think he is easily the most cogent, rational, and involved instructor that I have ever had. The class material is great, and he makes it even better. If you can take one of his classes, you'll love it--he's off the hook.
