Great teacher, I really enjoyed this class. I was scared to death of speech but she takes her time and helps you through it. I cant imagine taking another class. I have heard so many bad stories of other profs, shes great!

Pam is great. I can't think of any other speech class that would let you do topics on Zombies, Cooking, and Buddhism, and be so understanding with student's personal problems. I got a C out of the class, but deserved to fail. I talked with her and she helped me out, not many professors would put up with what she put up with, and she deserves the praise.

Her grades were always fair, or maybe it's my ability to speak in front of people eloquently, but she seemed fair to the people who stared at the ground and spoke in a whisper as well.

Good prof.

I enjoyed this class alot. She accepts a wide variety of topics for speechs. She made the class really enjoyable. I had never taken a speech class before and I absolutely hate speaking in front of people, but I flew through this class. She is very understanding and will help you whenever needed.

Mrs. Jones is a nice lady and she knows the materials well. She also has a decent way of helping out the folks in her classes that want to do well by giving out little bits of extra credit. She doesn't tell anyone about the REAL extra credit though. If you want EC you have to ask her about it. I think that's the only reason I made an A. The class was extremely hard, especially in my case, since I am a shy type and despise getting up in front of others to speak, and I hated it. But I am happy now to have this class over with, and most will be OK with Mrs. Jones as a teacher.

I absolutely hated this class. She graded so hard on the speeches. She assigned our group speech so late in the semester that we barely had enough time to get it done. She doesn't really lecture she just reads the headings in the book. She is totally unorganized. I would not recommend this class to anyone.

This woman is the worst professor on the hill.....take my word for it!!! She has no more of an idea how to grade (or teach for that matter) than she knows how to do a back-flip!!! She is laughed at more than any professor I know of. I can't believe SHE is getting paid to teach! She has her little pets and that's it...that's all that exists to her...don't take her for this class or any other class for that matter! WE NEED TO PUT HER OUT OF THIS job...she doesn't need to be "teaching" as she may call it!

Pamela is not a very good teacher...she tries to make everything hard and tries to grade EVERYTHING on a extreme advanced basis...She gave me a D on my first speech and I felt like I did better than most people in my class!!! Don't take her...ever...for anything...you will regret it!!! Take anybody else but her!

From personal experience I must say Ms. Jones is the WORST professor I have come across at Western Kentucky University. She has a poor attitude and if you aren't from Russellville KY you can consider yourself screwed. She is very picky when it comes to grading speeches. She took points off of my speech for having "too much eye contact with audience". Ummmm if I'm not mistaken aren't you supposed to make eye contact as much as possible??? Please do NOT take her as your professor. I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy.

Mrs. Jones is a really nice instructor. Her class is incredibly easy, but she is willing to give you extra help if needed. Her exams are easy, as well. They were never more than two pages long. I hardly studied for them and still made A's.

if you like classes where you are totally brainwashed in old baptist rhetoric then this is the class for you. personally i think it stunk. her opinion, as slim as it can get, is the ONLY thing that matters. i thought public speaking was supposed to be about self-expression, not conformity.
